Really appreciated your detailed explanations. As a retired engineer, I appreciate mechanical things. You are the first one to show how the bailer works. Keep up the good work. I also like your running commentary as you are bailing. And your countryside is very beautiful, even more so than nearby Wisconsin. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the video, I have wondered how those big squares are made since they are not used around here at all. Any idea how they compare in weight/volume to an average round? Seems like they would be easier to transport and store so not sure why our ranchers haven’t embraced them yet. We see very few small square bales around here anymore as well.
The 3x4s that I was baling weigh about 1100 lbs and the 3x3s my dad was making are about 600 lbs Now weight can vary with the length you make the bales as well
The big squares are great if you have the cover storage for them. The only reason ranchers use round bales is because we can store them outside. The round bales let the water run off them, where the square bales not so much.
To many deer ? Where I live in Wisconsin the DNR got rid of them I mean a total extinction kill them all so we have none left around here anymore it is so sad ! When I was a kid we see a thousand in ten miles now if you are lucky u see 5
Yes, we planted a field next to there last year in beans and we didn’t even take the combine there cause it wasn’t worth the fuel and wear and tear. It’s not uncommon to see 30-50 deer in the fields down there at a time
We have all generations of the magnum series including down to the maxum series. They seem to time and time again prove to be about as reliable as they come
Well done! Beautiful Hay!

If a blonde in North Carolina can figure out a rake like that, you should be able to!
Go Jackson!!!!
great job bud. the little guy is awesome. he's learning
He’s something else all right, won’t be to long till he’s getting his share of stuff. He is very smart and aware of what’s going on
Great job, Micah!
Great video I had never seen how the big square bales were made before. It looked like you were going through a jungle to get to that one field 😄
It’s a nice field when and if you can get to it 😆

And they are much nicer to haul and store compared to round bales. Gives you a lot more options

@@rookiefarmer702 Yes that makes sense. They are also used for wind/snow breaks as you see lots of them ringing corral areas up here.
👍
