Y'all complaining about how "trumpets are super loud and dominating" like are we not supposed to be? Majority of the time we end up having melody, which we must play out. It's kind of our job. Also, this band did a fantastic job! Crazy Train is such a fun song to play, currently playing it now for pep band!
A trump player stole my drum sticks and now I’m afraid to bring any of my other drum sticks to practice because each one means something to me I’m just lucky because he stole my heavier sticks that I bought with my own money so I could play louder.
Le Dud it’s literally the main instrument in marching band ngl. Trumpets are always the loudest. I’m in my 2nd year of marching band and you can always hear the trumpets over all the other instruments...
I mean I get what you’re saying but it also pisses me off when other instruments always complain about trumpets being louder than them, like it’s just supposed to be louder it’s not our fault
This is an Alumni band performance. You have no control pver instrumentation and balance when the alumni come in, practice the tune 3 or 4 times then perform it
