What guard size do you prefer cutting your hair with based on your curl type? LMK
Don Man, I’m happy to see you back! The journey finna go crazy!
I'm grateful for this video Fam. Definitely had to learn the difference with the guards the hard way. I was always a fan of 2/2.5WTG(when wolfin').
this video got me like ohhhhhhhh. this guard stuff making sense now
Man it's just great to see you dropping great content on here again. But i usually go with a 4 open or closed against the grain depending on how the end of my wolfs go. Anything lower than that looks like a 1.5 or lower for me especially cause i got some thin areas on my sides (right in particular)
It’s good to see you and n the comments as well Fam! Glad to hear it sounds like you got your lengths for your cuts down! Salute bro
I agree with what you said you really have to know your own hair I have kinky /course hair so a 2 with the green works fine but peace of my
lineup area grows the other way I know how to cheat it because I had waves before my locs .Good looking out making the video am going to try 3 against the green and see if get a even better results
@JustinTimeJLew....Question? This may not be important to alot of elite wavers or wavers in general but I always see these wavers videos of the length you should get your haircut for 360 waves and the answer has always been a 1.5 wtg. I do however have coarse thick hair and I'm green to getting waves. About to start. I'm gonna scalp first (just my preference) so I can start training my hair from there and maintaining great hair health. In your opinion, is a 1.5 wtg or a 1 wtg or 2 wtg the best guard/length to start out with as a beginner waver scalping first and then my second haircut; in your opinion is the best length to start with. And a sidenote. Would it be better to get a fresh haircut every 2 weeks or every week unless your wolfing of coarse? Just needed some advice. I appreciate your content. Great information explained thoroughly. Alot of these wavers videos are good but I'm a very specific type of person when it comes to information. Hope you comment back. Much help would be appreciated. Thanks and keep the great content coming. Sorry, comment so long.
I know this question was for JustinTime but I've been waving on and off for years. For coarse hair wavers I would advise you to scalp and then go as long as you can go to really work on brushing and working your crown area. When you're done with a wolf I'd say do a 2 or 2.5 WTG all around but keep your crown area longer so half a guard more than what you get all around. I've noticed with my hair that my front grow faster than my back so I offset it and get a 2 in the front and a 2.5 in the back. As far as wolfing start off with 8 weeks and go from there. Make sure you have a good wash n style method and make sure you comb during your wolf to stretch those curls out. Also if youre not wolfing then cut it every month or so, the more you cut it at 1-2 weeks the more you cut off all that progress. Hope that helps.
I always cut to a 2. Lower than that is too low
