Hi everyone, I'm so thrilled to share today's hair tutorial which is a French Twist hairstyle that takes under 5 minutes to create. This French Roll Updo is surprisingly simple but very elegant making it perfect for prom, work or wedding/bridal season.

my grandma's signature updo. :) it always makes her look sophisticated and nice. that updo and bright red lipstick is all she ever did before going out. her dementia made her forget many things, but not the way she goes about her looks before going somewhere. i know this is kind of random comment, but you helped me imagine her in her youth.

You asian? I always find these messy buns using bobby pins nearly impossible with my resistant asian hair

I'd kill to have that problem. Probably only a couple of pins would hold my fine straight blonde hair, but its not thick enough to have volumn without alot of product & teasing.😣
Try spraying hairspray on the bobby pins before you stick them in. And make sure the ridgey side is facing downwards. I'm Asian with thick, waist-length hair - it stays put. When in doubt, just use more pins.

I always count the bobby pins while putting them in so that I know how many I'll need to take out later

I didn’t have any mirrors to see behind my and I ended up shooting a video on my phone as I waved it around behind me, trying to get the right angle (if I try photos it’s never the right angle; I’m learning! 😋 But not enough to get MIRRORS! 🤔😕). Of 20 seconds, about 1.5 had a clear image of it. 🤦🏻♀️

My real problm would be to fix hair on my crown. After so much twisting and pinning the hair on the crown just gets jumbled and messy for me 😅

Don't give up!! I finally just *began* to achieve this look after trying about seven times. My hair length is mid-back just below the bra strap and it's straight/medium thickness (I curled beforehand).

@@CuongLe-rr2dt she has beautiful hair but not Thick. Hair is Based on density and texture. Her hair texture is fine her density medium. When she brings her hair together its not that much. But maybe if you met Polynesians you'll know we Got HAIR compared to hers.
