Try spraying hairspray on the bobby pins before you stick them in. And make sure the ridgey side is facing downwards. I'm Asian with thick, waist-length hair - it stays put. When in doubt, just use more pins.

This was actually the easiest hair tutorial I have done! I have super thick, wavy, bleached and processed hair, and this looked good in the first try! I found the trick was to NOT do this on freshly washed hair and use those longer, bigger bobby pins.... the small ones would have been too many..(I used 4 big ones and 3 small..) plus why waste putting up fresh hair; you gotta wear that down on the clean hair days! Oooh yeah !! THIS WORKS!!! I have sussed it in 2 tries. This look is much better than the classic French roll which I have worn for years but dropped because it looked so dated. Your look is more messy and sexy - I love it. Very good Alex. More modern messy looks from the old classics please.

My real problm would be to fix hair on my crown. After so much twisting and pinning the hair on the crown just gets jumbled and messy for me 😅
