    I can't get coolant temperature to work on my ford. Could you copy the pids so I can copy what you have

    Uhhh so I’m hoping I’m fine. My truck cruises at around 180-185° and my EOT is usually 5-10° cooler. I should be fine though right? Trans temp sits around 130-135°.

      I wish I could post a 1 page link that teaches you everything you need to know. But a lot of what I've learned has come from FB 6.0 pages and various posts on 6.0 forums.
      Another helpful resource is dieseltechron. He died a few years back but his vids are still valid and really helpful.

    If something if out of parameters you will get a check engine or wrench light.

    • @CtrlAltDefeatTV
      @CtrlAltDefeatTV  4 года назад

      I've heard you''ll get a wrench light if your oil temp is over 15 degrees higher than your coolant temp. But I don't think you'll get any sort of light if your coolant temp is higher than safe limits.

    A comment from a video a while ago on your ficm 6.0 tune. How were the results? Mpg and towing? Are the head gaskets still good. 05 6.0 owner here and im very interested in that ficm tune.

    • @CtrlAltDefeatTV
      @CtrlAltDefeatTV  4 года назад +1

      I'd highly recommend getting a FICM tune, I went with the Atlas 40 and it really made the truck more responsive off the line.
      Headgaskets seemed fine, although I did stud my truck recently for reliability purposes.
      MPG's, can't really say much about it. ECU calculated it seems like it went up maybe 1 or 2 mpg's. I can't really hand calculate since I don't fill my tank up fully each time.

      @@CtrlAltDefeatTV I appreciate the update and response. My apologies for posting on an unrelated video. Being a new 6.0 owner. If you have time id like to bounce some ideas off of you. Not sure how to contact other than this way.

      @@chezach22 It's all good, ask away. I'm not a professional with the 6.0 by any means, but I've researched quite a bit to make my personal truck reliable.

      @@CtrlAltDefeatTV I appreciate it. I'm looking for the same. I have no fast and furious fever whatsoever. My truck is a crew cab for the family and towing. I bought it all orginal with 142k miles. So far billisteen 4600 shocks 285 tires new brake lines and brakes. New air, oil and fuel filters. New icp sensor, radiator flush. Both difs new gear oil. Upgrade 08 transmission pan and filter. Ive been looking at the 6.7 fan clutch upgrade.and an a&e cold air intake. So far thats where I'm at. I did all wrech work

      @@chezach22 Sounds like you're on the right track. I haven't heard of a 6.7 fan clutch upgrade, perhaps you were thinking of the 7.3? I did that upgrade myself, I haven't towed with it yet but it seems to keep things plenty cool driving around unloaded.
