tbh there's nothing stopping everyone doing this, just play how you want
I stopped playing like it was a job mid-WotLK. When everyone started sweating harder during ToGC by trying to get 50/50 runs…I bowed out.
And the sweats have nothing in their life. So when you write in discord you cant play as much because you rather drink a beer with a mate or work more/better, then with your massive income and a beer friend, the sweats become really jealous of it 😅

Boy I did the same. I barely hit 85 two days ago. Did like 4 hcs by now, still questing around and stuff. I played hardcore when it released first time, fuck no I m just gonna enjoy it now. Not gonna push 5 chars to max heroic gear. Just my Mage and casual all the way. We re getting wise. Or old.

I just did a 14hr sessions with breaks here and there. Ive never played Cata back in the day, i started playing during WoD. And i gotta say, i was very meh at first but now, man.... its just so fun right now lol
I started a brand new warrior. Decided to use restedxp (old plan so didn’t use the link mate) to solo level as fury and hierlooms make you REKT everything.
Well I’m having a blast. I played for 13 hours yesterday. An insane amount of time for me. Lately been bored with GW2 and retail wow. I agree, it’s a classic plus experience. I was so happy to see max graphics fused with cata content. Hopefully the next time I log in I don’t binge it out of a reaction to how much fun I was having.
Makes me realize what you said, I haven’t been playing the game to have fun - least not like I would otherwise.

My Prio for SoD was making a guild that didnt make you have to top perform or log or raid every tuesday etc, best move ive done

Good for you. The casual rabbit hole is just fine. I will enjoy the experience on my own time on a class I have never played. I won’t let the toxic people bother me either. Cataclysm launch back in the day is where real life overtook my free time. No more power gaming for me either. Good for you.
Playing at my own pace was the best decision to enjoy the game more. Btw im really enjoying Cata Classic
I love wow, played since release. I dont think theres a day where i dont think of wow. I just dont have the time now and have to commit to RL and future. But after this video youve convinced me, i will start play CASUALLY a few times a week for cata.

My Cata play is lvl up my 80s first, has 3x lvl 85s now and gear them to IL 350+ after that i lvl up a new and do the same, cuz i love to play different Classes, and has friends to play with and do old Raid runs for Transmog :D
I just wish Cata would have come out during this Winter cuz Wrath was way to long, and sad to be more hooked with Cata now During the summer :/
Meanwhile, there is a content creator who released a video saying that he has 85 in five characters, all with maximum professions and prebis at 4. Hahahaha
that's up to that creator though, he's catering to a certain audience, it really doesn't matter how you do things.

@@vitorfernnandesYes but also if you are watching those RUclipsrs you are already not a casual in pure sense if you consume third-party content like guides and videos. So the assumption is if you're watching one of those people, you are trying to optimize, looking for tips and tricks, more knowledge etc....

I have played WoW at the top, server first all of classic, rank 14, i am a heroin addict going on 14 years (actually just as long as I’ve been playing WoW) and I am a working physicist going onto grad school and I’ve pushed myself beyond my limits to achieve what I’ve wanted in WoW, but all I made were bitter memories and enemies behind rose tinted goggles, it’s toxic at that level and life is just a lot more enjoyable when you don’t put all your chips into a game. No one will care what you did in WoW last xpac, or they’ll just assume you have no life which as you see is not true, I have a terribly painful and difficult life lol.

i play wow on and off for the last 15 years and i can tell you for sure that ppl just have changed. i had never a problem with finding mates but the mass of assholes since classic is just crazy

I never played like it was a job, tho I cleared ICC once only and vanilla Naxramas 4 times. I'd rather do that and have some fun than be a slob who has nothing else going on.
I stopped minmaxxing in WoD. Isn't worth it. Now my focus is on cleared UI and Immersion. PvP too of course because that's mostly why I play but I have not had a character on the same level as most in about 10 years lol.

Thats because there are no successful neckbeards. They are all unemployed/low income losers without real friends. They become toxic because their only skill is playing claasic for 80h/week and are useless at anything else in the world.

i quit 30 mins into Cata, the levelling experience is horrendous, i really wanted to do some raiding but not at this kind of boredom cost
everything is 1 shot
Metrics are all out of whack, sometimes your scratching to find 10g other times you've got 1,000g for no reason
choices are pretty irrelevant, spells dont matter, quests dont matter, dungeons dont matter

I mean u are supposed to be able to go hyjal at 78 and youre probally 80 and geared right thats why its so easy but that will change when mobs get 80 or 100k in the last 2 zones.
