I think wow would really benefit on focusing more on RBGS since its been quite dead on retail and overall i love bgs and it would be cool to earn some new exicting rewards cosmetic or gears etc with it. but like you said in the video add something more with arena (Retail) to make it more exicting than waiting for dampening for 20min to kill a healer and then reque and do the same thing.!

Yeah because pve has completely busted classes for pvp. The power creep has become insane. When classes have to have insane dmg and defensives and self healing for m+ it bleeds into pvp. Around Cata its like perfect. But also PvP is so dogshit in retail because they have basically only focused on 3v3. Took away 5s and Titles from 2s. Like who cares if people want to play 2s and get a title? Only rank 1 glads get to keep the glad title when every fucking pver gets to keep titles they earn. PvP has been shit on for years. When PvP arguably gave WoW the most exposure and advertisement over the years with PvP videos. I never went on warcraftmovies to look at PvE videos when i was younger lol

@@betahumanx Yeah it is much faster and reaction time based as it should be on 2024, take classic arenas are so fekin slow it is impossible to enjoy them under 80yo.

Objective focus would be a massive benefit. i only play arenas for cap to have the necessary gear to have fun in battlegrounds.

Not sure about this i remember back in Cata there where like 1 ret paladin who got like 3k rating and that was vanguard. Rest of Ret paladins struggle really badly in 3s.

Ret Paladin was my first main when I was 12-15. I was so bad at the game. Literally the worst in every LFG, LFR and RBG. I had so much fun.

I genuinely feels cata is the peak of paladin. It have all the resistance in the world to deal with mage, and seal of justice to perfect counter Druid.

I agree that RBGs are the way to go, they have to overhaul them, create something brand new, and see how it goes. Like warfronts but really to be done for PVP.

Ranked solo Q BGs could be the future of wow PVP if they balance it right RBGs are fun already but the strugle to find a group that doesnt get disbanned after first game is just too much time waste
I agree that WoW should 100% shift focus from the current arena-centric PvP design and work on diversifying the PvP experience.
Reallocating resources and other support into synergizing and making different modes of PvP like Regular, Rated, and Epic Battlegrounds and *WORLD PVP* relevant would be a homerun for content and would reinvigorate the player pool, which has steadily diminished from WoTLK to its current all-time low.
It would also serve to fundamentally remap PvP as a topic of discussion: In 2024, 90% of the usage of the term PvP in relation to WoW is only in reference to Arena. When someone calls themselves a PvPer, they are realistically just an arena player; they don't do BGs and they don't pursue World PvP. With a focus shift to other forms of PvP, players can start asking each other "what kind of PVPer?" That's the dream.
*TLDR: YES THEY SHOULD STOP FOCUSING ON ARENA AND FOCUS ON MULTIPLE FORMS OF PVP CONTENT EQUALLY*

Savix Retail PvP needs you! You are the messiah! Always ahead of the curve on PvP design. We need a serious Savix Retail PvP video for the Blizzard Devs! Ultimately the answer is not in the BGs, Solo RBGs, or RBGs simply, but in a new mode constructed ground up for WoW. Something like they are doing for War Within but I am worried that they are making for the rules they set for BG Blitz instead from ground up.. Arena is an S tier mode in WoW, but as far as PvP modes it is bottom of the barrel.

i played a long time RBGS at top rating and must say it kinda feels pretty meh it makes fun at lower rating bc you have then chances to win teamfight and so on but if everyone is at a top peak games mostly over if they 2 cap at lets say Gilneas hard to not loose it then if both are equal in teamfight strenght. i think they should maybe just put objectives in Arena make it that you have 2 conditions to win 1 is to capture the point hold it for a min or so or something diff idk or kill a dps or so. i agree its kinda meh since Arena is always the same since years but it could be good like its now if the balancing and rewards are correctly. skillshots should be a huge point in WoW you dont really have any skillshots like you do in League mass root being a skillshot could be insane for Arenas and RBGs but yeah. 1 Problem about RBGs aswell is that to 90% the optimal lineup is 3 Boomies 2 Rogues 1 Lock 1 Dk or so 2 disc 1 rsham many classes arent really having any impact in RBGs bc they are so much weaker then the other and you cant do so much things with it then with other that sucks kinda hard aswell so every player that plays not the best class just gets declined.

Competitive bgs and I'll return to retail wow, cause I don't like arena, I've never liked it, I thought it was boring, like super boring, as a player that started doing arenas in Shadowlands, I didn't understand why people liked it, I still learned and was taught a lot of things from Arena, but even with the knowledge of arena I have now, It's still boring to both play and watch, cause it's basically either dampening gives the win, or whoever messes up their defensives first, that isn't fun imo
Savix usually you have some semblance of reasoning even when I disagree but wanting healers to be forced into the do everything role is the exact opposite of what the game needs if people want more healers to do pvp content. Right now most healers are already responsible for cc healing and damage because blizzard has forced every single healing spec to be that way because they are trying to make every spec viable in M+. Retail is by far the most active healers have ever been in pvp.

as an ex wow enjoyer i would LOVE to see them add more minigames in pvp, like 1v1 duel arena, or more BG mechanics, like variant game modes like free for all in a big map, like minecraft survival games that the last man standing wins
arena is not popping off cuz its too hard to get into for the non wow player but its the most skillful pvp mode in any game hands down
there is nothing skillfull about pillar humping and tunelvisioning the enemy healer...
