Back in Cata on server Alterac Mountains, there was a frost mage duo arena team names "Work out buddies IRL" that were consistently near the top of the battle group. They also ran a guild called "Chris Hansen with MSNBC" and were the top RBG group on our server. I never got to play with them, i was never good enough :) I managed 2k rating in 3's, 2.s and RBG though and i am still proud.
Love it but one thing I've noticed fighting frost mages is that the Water Elemental gives away the position so you always know where they are even though they're invis.
Mages are the most overpowered class. I decided to change from Hunter to Mage for Cata, and seeing how much easier it is to do arena is insane. You have 100 types of crowd control and big damage on top.
Bro get anyone under deep as double frost mage, even if you have absolutely 0 cd, and the guy is mostly dead. How hard is it to set up an instant stun with 30sec cd?
I dont think that is big debuffs, big debuffs will show a symbol above enemys heads which is nice but I also want to know the name of the addon that shows like 2:10 the gouge for example
It's just that he starts moving and faces a different direction RIGHT after you press the button, the cone's hitbox shoots out in the direction you were facing but the animation doesn't go off instantly, and it follows where the front of your character is facing. If you tap A and D over and over real fast or wiggle your camera back and forth it looks goofy as well.
Cata frost (and fire) mage was a lot of fun, especially dealing damage with big shatters and having deep freeze. Soo much better than retail mage. Frostbolt as a proc and tickle generator isn't fun, you get so many lance procs so they had to nerf lance damage so pressing the button no longer feels good, I never liked Flurry compared to the good old heavy hitting frostfire bolt and I dont think there are many people in the game, pvp or pve, that like Glacial Spike. Wish they brought that back to retail cause no matter how much I like some of the class design in cata, there aint no way I'll play it considering that it seems dead on arrival with mostly only tryhards playing and all the hoops you have to go through to be able to PvP, especially having to PvE.
mage windows are strong and a heal hardly can survive on its own or escape before m8 is down but TWO OF THEM is a nightmare for some comps queing into that
I hope one day we will get a world of warcraft without any addons & maccro , could be the best mode possible imo... no more assist&co like a fkn aim bot.

I really don't like how they released so much so fast. It is the exact opposite of the problem of not releasing anything. They went plunderstorm, then into season 4, 2 weeks or so mop remix, then shortly after cata opens, and now beta. This is dividing up the playerbase so much. I wanted to enjoy cata pvp but 2 weeks after opening cata season, out comes beta. Choice is good but having to choose between multiple things you like isn't.

Do hunters have 2 charges of deterrence or a cd reset?
It's a 5 min CD called "Readiness". It resets most abilities similar to a Mage's Cold Snap.
Think it's 3 min cd in cata
