I'm glad cata has so many players. Naturally it will drop over time, but the strong launch was really nice to see.
I think cata will actually maintain a steady player base. Especially the pvp community since retail is such a dumpsterfire where if you're not the main 3 classes. You won't do much in pvp

@@Vic-qp1gk as long as there is a newer game that receives more updates (retail) and runs on the same engine (not like RS vs OSRS) then there will never be a steady player base for the nostalgia version. as much as you'd hope it will.

So I played Holy Priest on SOD and I want to try Cata this evening. I know Sod and Cata are a lot different, I really enjoyed playing healer, I never played on the regular classic servers. How much harder is is going to be?

I agree with them speeding up the gearing. I hear Xaryu's point at all, but I decided to try playing as horde for once and they cannot win a BG. Sure the grind isn't that bad when you go 26-1 in BGs...But if you need 3x the games your are going to go crazy

People who get paid to play are ruining all games in general. "Normal" players have to work jobs and then play when they have a chance. It is unrealistic for normal players to be able to keep up with full time players. The "Chase" that happens when games begin to get the furthest or be the best in class or whatever the goal is just not possible for the lay person. Maybe I'm just jealous, no I'm definitely jealous, I wish I could play games full time for a living and get paid well to do it. Good on you I guess, you just took advantage of what was given to you. But damn it!!!

That's literally only a 'problem' on release. There are plenty of people who reach gladiator or get top 0.1% title in m+ who work full time.

In my view you are the problem with wow. Classic is made to be easy, you don’t need to min max anything. If you want a pve challenge go play mythic+. PVE in any video game is not hard because you are playing against AI. Egotistical freaks like you gatekeep based on logs and it makes no sense cause the boss is gonna die anyway. It’s not impressive killing AI, go PvP and earn some respect.
Mage with no damage, doesn't do mechanics, gets mindcontroled in dungeon that is why vote to kick exists.
