There are alot of videos, sometimes hours long, talking about all kinds of stuff... Would be really great if you could make 1 big "How to get a good start on hardcore/need to know " for a new paladin :) like level 1-30 or something.. "buy this" "Get this sorted quick" ect God job btw! Just subbed!

Would be interested to see a similar breakdown for Holy Shield. In another video you mentioned it being a waste of mana and bad, but I'm not sure I see a video of you digging into why and showing examples like you do in this video. I do not have the knowledge you do on the subject, but glancing at it, wouldn't spending mana for Holy Shield be better than spending it for Consecrate? Increased survivability with more blocks, plus triggering extra Blessing of Sanctuary damage on top of the Holy Shield damage?

Easy to say but... go watch my Paladin vs Rogue video... I use to write scripts and edit my videos. Reading scripts = I sound stupid. And It takes me about 10 hours to make a 20m video. I made vids and people would complain about lack of content. So It is what it is. Now I spend 1hour on a 20m video give or take. Some people love it... few people hate it. This is not my job and I have a life. If you want paladin info DONE BETTER... feel free to go to the other channels that currently don't exist :( Even I am sad about that...
Oh, one other thing. Its not like I am scowering forums and getting all this info, I actually play test them in game. That's why I have the info and no one else seems to. If we factor that in its probably 2 hours + per 20m video. Example: Trinket Gnomish Net-O-Matic... it has a 20% To fail 20% To Snare and Suck you to the target 60% Chance to work fine. Also the "Suck" part doesn't happen if you are not facing the target... it just works normally. How Can I know this about a 10m CD trink? I tested it 100 times and recorded the results. Like I do everything. Goblin Bomb Dispencer is the ONLY DPS Burst Trinket that can be used in Conjuction with other burst trinkets (all other share a CD). Its a summon that last 1m and agros on any hostile within 15 yards. You can summon it... swap trinkets... mount and enter a duel... ride up on someone and give them the good news. The Bomb "Pet" Summon will move however fast you move so it keeps pace while mounted.
Since you talk about everything SoR, you should mention weapon swaping. Changeing weapon between a 1,5 weapon and a 4.0 weapon. If you do it at the start of the attackanimation. You will do the white damage as the fast1h but the SoR will hit as you were hitting with the slow 2h.
How much spell power do you need for r3’s superior spell power ratio to out perform the increase in damage from higher ranks? My Paladin is lvl 45 and I don’t have bonus spell power.
@@kojike Use rank 3 SoR with max rank crusader judged, imp sor only affects the base dmg (before spellpower from crusader judgement) iirc so its not good.
I said this in a different comment but Seal of Crusader (judged on the target) gives holy spellpower effectively, long as it's up r3 outperforms every other rank iirc
@@Arkvoodle1000 I checked it and it does not function this way. Rank 3 does way less holy dmg per hit than even rank 5 on my tests, and thats with no SP gear and crusader up
@@maeschder If you take improved seal of righteousness it does for sure, as that only will buff the base dmg of the seal, but without it mine was only 4-5 difference with a 1.5 speed weapon, but you'd save like 110mana from the difference in seal rank cost. Thanks for pointing it out
I leveled 10-34 using this talent build, and as much as I wanted this to be good... I picked up my knightly longsword, rank 4 crusader, and was doing a solid ~40 dps with the +6 sharpening stones against level 32-34 mobs. 40 DPS. and that isn't going to change until at least 42 using this build. I respec'd ret, picked up a great 2hander from the AH, and now I am pumping 150-200 DPS on monsters at level 34. It is night and day, I would advise everyone to just play ret until this build comes online around 41 (if AOE grinding is your thing, however the HC servers are full to the max and there are no mobs available for AOE grinding)
Nah, try Nightly Longsword + MAX Rank Judgement of Crusader + SoR Rank 3 Then Report Back. Would love to see the numbers. Or check out my rotation vid and do that. I can crunch them right now if you like... My Dps Per pull 1v1. Yeah NO ONE AoE Frams tell level 41. Not even the Speed Runners. AoE farm is like 2 mobs.
Ok so... I am level 35 1v1 with another lvl 35 Mob and a 20s kill time. White DPS = 26 DPS SoR3 is 22 damage = 15 DPS Consecration x2 over 20s = 9.6 DPS 1 SoR Judgement = 5 DPS Total HPDPS = 55.6 (60 with +6 Sharpening Stone). This is a 20s kill time. Let me be CLEAR... You could be a WELL GEARED level 60 and doing 200 DPS = IMPRESSIVE So either you are lying, adding 0's by accident, or you are lying yourself and mentally are EXTREMELY BIASED to the BIG NUMBERS popping up every now and then. Examples: Critting more than Normal? = x2 DPS. Command Procs more than Normal = x2 DPS. Getting Parry Hasted more than Normal = x2 DPS. All 3 of these go off same time? = x8 DPS. Why? Well Crit = x2 and Command Procs = x2 ... but also Parry Haste can -40% your remaining swing timer so you can spike like crazy your DPS.
Ok I made a video on this. Forgot to mention you not Missing / Getting Parried or Dodged also can factor. TLDR = Use AVERAGE kill times + Recovery. XP per Hour is likely a better indicator of Good / Bad.
Hey, watched to the end but at 17:37 when you do your comparison to a 2H. What i understand, is that you prefer a 1h and shield to a 2h. But i suppose as you said in regards to slower and faster weapon speeds for the 1h, you prefer slower ? was there any advantages to the weapon speed for the 1h? i suppose using divine storm etc, in SoD makes slower = better?
Your question is quite complicated. And I have thought about this for SoD and SoM. Faster is Better in ERA... slow is better in SoD... However... SoR3 and SoM are twistable and both have base SP Ratios. So if you get a good 1.5s weapon like flurry axe or Hungering Cold. You can set up a macro to twist super easy one to the other on GCD cool down. Would only have to watch out for Parry Haste and CC's reseting your timing but otherwise it would be spamable. SoR is 18.66% flat SP ratio and SoM currently is 7% Flat ratio give or take... which is about = to SoComands 20% at 1 proc per 9s of swing time. This might be the speedy boy 1 hander way of the future. Otherwise Slower = Better for SoD going DS and CS.

Yeah you can search for Talent TLDR Guide. But the point of Imp SoR was to show you that its only increasing BASE SoR Damage and Judgement Damage by 15%... and how BAD it is. Rules for SoR Leveling are... 1. Use Rank 3 with Fast 1 hander or 2 handers while leveling until level 34... at which point SoR Ranke 5 makes the slower 2 Handers viable. Sometimes the Higher Ranks are better... sometimes SoR 3 is better. It varies with weapon speed and how recently you trained Crusader or SoR. Going 2 Hander over 1 Hander both with SoR3 will result in about an 11% Damage increase... but at the cost of a shield. Stam/Spirt seems to be better and cheeper to get than Stam/Int for Hard Core. Though Stam/Int makes you a gigga tank.
imp sor and 1h spec buffs sor dmg at the same time. But its multiplicative against such a shit low number (18.675 ) that it is a shitty talent (other classes have their 10-25% modifer talents on higher base dmg number spells that they can make the case to take them). balance resto druids for example. But here are a couple of extra SoR/Imp SOR things going on: - Imp sor might be shit for seals, but JoR has a place (at least in pvp where are you judge for dmg and ten go back to support spam). Base max rank JoR is what makes it deal more dmg than sor r3; and imp sor/jor turns the 187 top dmg to 215 before the 50% spell scaling kicks in (and don't forget that scales off spell crit too, so a support paladin can see 700-900 dmg depending on the build) - 1h spec while buffs sor, also buffs white hits. And that has some benefits with SoC in the same way 2h spec works. But it is subject to armor mit. And melee crit dmg has a 150% modifer instead of a 200% for spells. And 1h spec does not buff JoR at all. I know this video was mostly for hardcore so the talk about pvp applications for support paladins trying to rank on era might not apply, but wanted to mention it since the paladin vanilla class has stronger use of its kit in pvp than pve anyway. Have to keep reminding people that lol.
SoR and her support talents = Complicated. But Yeah Imp SoR is GREAT for Judgement Damage particularly for Holy Shock Paladins in Pvp. Its just that those talents are opportunity costed against what else is avalible. There are some "Improved Con Aura" builds that put 3 points or less in Pushback immunity talent freeing up points... But that's in contest with saving those points and going Fire Resist enchants and Aura to tell Grenades and Goblin Mortar to get bent 50% of the time. TLDR = There is ALOT of season to taste in Paladin... more than you would think... less than we would like.
Shockadin beats everything in PvP except Mage. Holy Reck beat everything in PvP and can got 50/50 at WORST with Mage. 80/20 when you get GOOD. 70/30 when you are good and Mage is good. Ret Reckoning has similar stats to Holy Reck but strugles more vs WARRIOR... dimond flask specifically. Deep Ret is a well rounded MONSTER by his RNG Nature give him 80/20 odds for a number of matchups. NEVER put points in IMP SoR unless you have a "Plan" for using the judgement damage. The mana saving for Rank 3 is part of its charm even though it does 100 less damage in the judge.@@kojike

Not even going to lie.. you def inspired me to make more this time around, but mostly to just give more information and examples, not to say you are wrong or anything like that.. but.. having 500 spell power unbuffed and without trinkets popped is incorrect. I am at your gear level plus some with ashkandi and flurry axe (lifetealing) and spell power cloak, neck, and rings and around 300 ish spell power. Anyhow.. moving forward.. appreciate your videos and how your pumping them out since its the perfect time because no one else is doing em for Paladin classes like Kargoz, etc.. but I will also do my part and do my best to make videos. I've played with many High rank Paladins, Artrius, Wolfiez, Drakova(seen him around but not a close friend like yourself), and Esfand on (Artrius played with him and I gained tons of knowledge from him and put it into perspective in PvP). Always great to see all these people come together to make great videos. I am mostly a pvper and do arenas on wotlk and retail so I may be out of touch but I know my knowledge will go far. Keybinds, movement, camera, angles are all important.. lets get to the basics first ;] china or not, lets get it bb! :D
The whole spellpower ratio seems moot when levling and you have no spellpower tho. Sure seal of crusader has some spellpower but youre usually judging wisdom anyway. I been aoeing on my 53 paladin which is now 55. Decked out with skullflame and flurry axe, its been so much fun! Cant wait to be dungeon tank and work on raid healing
Yes... Spell Power means NOTHING past level 41 when AoE farming. For single target Crusader at level 42 has 110 spell power and 140 at level 50. Spell Power starts to become a THING only when you can get Black Rock Deepths gear or Rank 10... Skullflame shield for example has a 100% spell power ratio on the life steal. Skullflame, Flurry Axe, Daemon Forged Breast Plate and as much T2 and you can muster are typical AoE tank gears... Demonforged Life Steal = 60% Ratio. Its a blue BS made item
@@pallytime2156 you consistently say DFB has a 60% ratio, where did you learn this info? is it self testing? For some reason I can only get it to be consistently 40% along with what most sources say of coefficients placing it at 10% per second.

Just level ret, it's higher DPS and more consistent. Level like this if you enjoy engaging a mob and alt tabbing for over a minute to kill anything.
Make a clip with 15% vengeance + 10% sancty aura + 15 seal of right if is a good option for 1 hand spec for holy spell power

around 230 spellpower sor r3 matches sor r8. The judgement is what pulls r8 ahead of sor r3 though.

SoR rank 3 no longer outclasses Max rank SoR. And right now the second best rank considering a good mana/damage ratio is rank 4 imo.

The whole spellpower ratio seems moot when levling and you have no spellpower tho. Sure seal of crusader has some spellpower but youre usually judging wisdom anyway.
I been aoeing on my 53 paladin which is now 55. Decked out with skullflame and flurry axe, its been so much fun! Cant wait to be dungeon tank and work on raid healing
Yes... Spell Power means NOTHING past level 41 when AoE farming. For single target Crusader at level 42 has 110 spell power and 140 at level 50.
Spell Power starts to become a THING only when you can get Black Rock Deepths gear or Rank 10... Skullflame shield for example has a 100% spell power ratio on the life steal.
Skullflame, Flurry Axe, Daemon Forged Breast Plate and as much T2 and you can muster are typical AoE tank gears... Demonforged Life Steal = 60% Ratio.

@@pallytime2156 you consistently say DFB has a 60% ratio, where did you learn this info? is it self testing? For some reason I can only get it to be consistently 40% along with what most sources say of coefficients placing it at 10% per second.
I could be wrong... but I self-Test everything... the problem is it might be 4 years sense I tested that and Blizzard tends to change things@@jamesdean3938
