Scammers typically target the elderly and attempt to steal money by several means.
1. Your Bank Saving or Checking accounts
2. Investment accounts or 401k retirement funds
3. Credit and Debit cards
4. Purchasing Gift cards
5. Cash withdrawls
6. Cryptocurrency
Scammers are ruthless criminals that have no problem stealing every last dime from their victims bank accounts. Please protect yourself as well as family members who might not be familiar with these type of scams.
I am grateful to help people every day from being scammed. This is my life goal to help as many people as I can, and I want to thank you all for watching so I can keep going on.

Except, he screwed it up by immediately telling the scammer, and that gave the scammer time to tell the victim not to answer the phone.

One of my friends (who is older in his 70s) got scammed out of 80k dollar in the last two months via the gift card scam. I would love for him to get some restorative justice, but I would love any sort of justice. The scammer even messaged him today (11/23/23) and wished him a happy thanksgiving. I was torn up when I heard him tell me. He told me tonight. He’s such a nice guy and recently lost his mom.

Well, yes and no. Tying up scammers time keeps them busy for a while. Time spent not scamming is good too.
prank calling is still somewhat helpful though because it wastes the scammer's time and basically prevents more victims

This is completely an emotional thing. When I get calls from scammers I just try to take up their time in hopes that it’s less time scamming others. Wish I could do what y’all do. Love y’all’s work!
WARNING: An elderly neighbor lady called me to say she was almost scammed, but suddenly realized when the man wanted to transfer the call to a manger, so she hung up the phone. I asked her if he sounded foreign. She said no, in fact he sounded very precise and professional, which was why she thought it was real. The more she described the voice, it suddenly dawned on me. I asked her if she knew what AI is. She said “yes, artificial intelligence, oh! Yes, that’s what it was!”

Tbh I almost got scammed a couple months ago. They completely spoofed my bank phone number, the caller ID was my usual bank number. Said there was unusual credit card transactions, and the guy was actually white. The only reason I caught on that it was a scam, was the guy started to ask me what my 16 digit credit card number was, to "confirm my identity". That's when I hung up.
Since the scammers wouldn't say it, I'll say it, Pierogi. Thank you for what you do.

I just started watching your videos. Sir, I can't thank you enough! I will never stop saying that. My dad was scammed of 25K and he wanted to commit suicide. These were men who confronted him in person. I don't know details because I didn't want to trigger his feelings, but it hurt me all the same. He's elderly and was saving his money to give to us when he passed. Then a couple of years ago, he was scammed by a contractor who took money to repair his roof. His roof was fixed, but not finished completely. The workers were scammed two because they didn't get paid. Anyway, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for doing this. You and your team are heros!!!!!!!

I personally want to thank you and everyone you work with. My elderly father was scammed by these type of evil people. I now have control of all his accounts and all his bills etc. It breaks my heart to see an honorable man, who fought for this country, who worked 40+ years in the local community, get taken advantage of by these souless scumbags.

It's happening to my dad and he's 70 years old and is still working as a handyman hard every day and giving them all of his money and I'm trying everything I can I know what u went thru. It's the saddest thing and it kills me. I just lost my brother and he has to get cremated and we have no money for anything now and he just keeps giving them money and their promising a lot of money in return lying to him and I know it's all a scam he doesn't believe it !

This is awesome. I’m a local cop in a town where I’m taking reports on these scams on the regular. There’s quite literally nothing we can do beyond trying to educate but ultimately just documenting losses and it drives me absolutely insane. It’s heartbreaking. In the slim chance you ever call here, we’ll bend over backward to help but the limits on what we can do are obviously quite limited.
I always tell people that the police could only do so much since once its overseas, its gone. And it angers me when people think a police officer is going to go over there and actually pick it up.
Thank you for doing what you can, I know it sucks not being able to stop things sometimes. But dont underestimate the power of educating people from being further victimized. You do what you can and the fact you care at all says a lot! I hope, you, your dept and your family are all blessed!

It’s because law enforcement has limits on what they can legally do, and the good officers hold to it. Crossing those limits also don’t really have a self-serving benefit for the bad apple officers, nor can they twist things so that they can legally be bullies. Not to mention if law enforcement try to do some of these things Pierogi does, the courts will toss out the evidence as illegally gained even if they can get around the international factor. Also the fact that law enforcement has more than just scams to deal with.
Whereas Pierogi doesn’t really do this for himself, some of the methods he uses is a really grey area, and this is the ONLY thing he’s focused on.
I'm quite shocked that what the scammer payback does isn't a thing the local policy does. I was always as a child scared of saying the wrong thing on the internet and the FBI i would storm my house😂

Just my opinion, once you got the name and number you had to keep them going and not reveal anything, it would’ve saved you a lot of time to possibly help someone else. At the very least make sure you’re able to contact the victim and go from there. Still an awesome video with a great result.
I thought the same thing. Glad the guy didn't get scammed, but when he reveals as soon as he's got the info you know those scammers are immediately gonna spin some story about how the guy is gonna be getting calls from hackers and don't answer any calls. He's lucky he was able to get police over there, he almost fucked the guy over just to put on a show for stream.

i'm glad someone made this comment, as i was kinda thinking the same thing. actually, while pierogi was getting the victim's details, i wonder why his crew in the background didn't call the victim from their side. that would have been easier than having pierogi do all the work

There are times where I watch these videos and get a little bored with the redundency...and then I see one where a person is helped, and it reminds me of the fact that I once had a customer who killed himself over scammer pressure...and I remember what the real reason for this is. They done the same to me about 3 years ago,they told me they was the tax man.i got scared and fell for it.£3000 they done me for.The worst part was, i had to lend the money off my mom, who had cancer.i hate my self for doing it.😢😢

I fell for a scam like this earlier in the year. I fell for it out of fear for thinking I was hacked and ended up losing a lot of money. And the police couldn’t even do anything about it. But seeing you deal Justice to these criminals is IMMENSELY satisfying. Thank you for your work my friend.

Well done, mate. I got a scam call recently and could hear them scamming someone else in the background. It's great that Law Enforcement are starting to care now whereas the response used to be "Just go and speak to your bank"

Thank you for what you do. My father got sucked into one of these, supposedly about service for his computer, and bought $2000 of Wal-Mart gift cards. My mom caught on to it and that's as far as it got. They were shopping at Wal-Mart for a while to use up the non-refundable cards.
On another note, yesterday I got a call "from" Winfield, Texas and as with all unknowns, I ignored. When it rang again I went ahead and picked up and got "Larry Cooper" of "Publishers Clearing House". Because of your videos I had a blast the next 10 minutes or so getting him to spell his name, asking him what my name was, how I could win 3+ million if I didn't enter, and mentioning RUclips videos of scammers being raided. 😂 You inspired me to go with it and enjoy talking over him, getting him to yell at me to shut the f* up etc until he finally saw the light. What a hoot!

This was happened to me last couple weeks ago about a death threat scams. They had all my family names and address and telling me to pay $3000 ( I negotiated to $1000 )to solve the problem, my bank didn’t let me to zelle that much money, they told me to go get 2 ($500 apple card), I went to Walgreens to get the card, and luckily the cashier guy was convinced me that’s a scam, and then I went to the local police to report and they help me out like blocking all the messages and the call for all the numbers that they been call me.

I was talking with someone from United Healthcare last week and the topic turned to scammers specifically about the USPS texts and emails about there being a package they can't deliver without more information and the lady told me she had lost 2000 dollars to scammers in the past. This is so insidious! I always block the number the text is coming from which seems to be coming from the UK but I wish there was more I could do.
