Hello, nice video! So, you said some pieces were warped because of using old PLA. Other than that, did they have seamless proportions? I mean, with some finish like maybe sandpaper and stuff, do you think one could reach passable quality?

Thank you for watching the video. I’m new to 3d printing and I haven’t used sandpaper on my 3d prints so I don’t know how that’ll turn out. My pieces that printed fit together very well; printed on ender 3 v2 neo using 5 month old PLA. You can check out my profile on thingiverse @Abbas2356 for the settings I used.

Also I haven’t glued my pieces together so maybe glueing them can give you the results you’re looking for or maybe using good PLA? Let me know how they turned out if you print them!

Great job on the tiles! Have you considered printing in two colors by pausing the print at the layer height you want the second color to start and then switching the filament to the second color and resuming the print? This way you’ll get a single two color part with no supports or assembly. If you print the whole set at once it’s just one color switch.

@@joeziskend8463Thank you for sharing this valuable information, I was not aware I can do something like this, I will definitely try it with my new project. At that time, I wanted to make the backplate swappable so I can print the top part of the tiles and swap the backs when I have a lot of mahjong sets. This would allow me to change the color as well as save a bit of filament. Thank you for watching and sharing this info!
