Focus Kick Macros get especially strong when combined with sound queues via add-ons just like "FocusInterruptSounds". So you just focus your target via macro, get a sound on (whitelisted) casts, and use your Focus Kick Macro.
For me this is the cleanest set-up for never missing a kick, as sound queues are probably the next best thing to clean visuals in stressful situations! 😊

Nice tip, been using this for a while and it's super useful. I'm not sure if this is still the case but if you only have @focus in the macro and you want to kick something you're currently targeting but don't have it focused for something it's doing in the moment then it won't go off as far as I know. That's why I usually add the harm and nodead clauses in the macro as well for stuff that's attacking you and not dead. Really useful for those niche scenario's like I said when you don't have something focused but you want to interrupt what you're currently targeting (focus target though will always take priority if you have it on something).
Looks something like this: /cast [@focus,harm,nodead][] InterruptName
Thanks and keep up the good work man you're content is knowledge gold.

    if you change it to:

you can just keep it on your normal interupt button and will only cast it at focus if you have one.

I think it's better to separate your target kick from your focus kick in keybinds. Easy to get confused and accidentally kick your focus when you want to kick your target because your focus kick is the button you usually use to kick your target when you haven't set a focus. Don't make it needlessly complicated.

This macro will make it so that you kick focus target and if no target is focused it will kick current target. Helps a lil with the key bind bloat. Also i have my focus target set to scroll wheel up and shift+SW Up to zoom. With nothing targeted and sw up it clears the focus.

I like to have these 3 things:
    1x normal kick actionbutton
1x /focus [@mouseover, exists][] - This let's me set my focustarget. It takes my mouseover - and if that doesn't extist, it sets my target as my focus.
1x /cast [@focus, exists] [@mouseover] Kick - This let's me kick my focustarget. If none exists, it takes my mouseover instead. I think mouseover kicks are really good in pugs where you don't assign kicks.

For your interrupts, you can actually just put in all the conditions into a one button interrupt macro without modifiers.
    #showtooltip
    /Cast [@focus, harm, nodead] kick
    /Cast [@mouseover, exists] kick
    /Cast kick
Macro will cycle through all those conditions according to hierarchy, and will execute on whichever condition is true.

I don't think that's the most you can do with a focus macro. First of all, you can do something like /cast [@focus, mod:shift] Pummel; Pummel to have both kicks on the same action bar slot (shift + button will kick the focus, button by itself will kick the target). However, even though I don't use it myself it is possible to do something like /cast [@focus,exists,nodead] Pummel; Pummel which should kick the focus when you have one and kick the target if you don't have focus and you don't have to have 2 keybinds.
I also use a focusing macro so when I mouseover something I focus that unit, when I don't mouseover anything I focus my target and when I click shift+button I clear focus.
    /focus [@mouseover,nodead,exists]; [@target,exists];
    /clearfocus [mod:shift]

Been using your plater profile since the beginning of DF and still love it. The only thing that hinders me is that the pink caster color overwrites my 'lost aggro' color. So instead of turning red they stay pink.
Currently I have it set up so that the border turns red when I lose aggro on a caster, but on your website where you get the profile it says: "overwrites the ‘pink’ caster color-coding, if you do not have aggro on the casters". This does not seem to be working for me. Is there something I can do about this?

    /cast [mod:shift,@target,harm,nodead] Disrupt
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead] [@focus,harm,nodead] [] Disrupt
It works for the first condition that is true. If i have a mouseover target it will kick that, if not it will check for a Focus target to kick. If i dont have any of that it will kick my current target.
I also put a modifier so when pressing shift it will kick my current target even if i got a focus or mouseover.
Find it nice since i can then use 1 button for any kick i want to do. Just replace the Disrupt with your classes kick spell.

      never fear hombre!
just use the following macro. I have it set to a spare mouse button. It sets focus on mouseover so no need to click or tab or any of that fancy jazz and if you hit the macro again while not hovering your mouse over a target it will cancel your focus target, if you hit it again while hovering over a different target it will make that your focus target. Mind you i don't actually use the shift modifier to deselect my focus, i just found that without the modifier there it will not let me click on an empty space and deselect my focus. it's weird that way
      /clearfocus [modifier:shift]
      /focus [@mouseover,exists,nodead] []
I then use the following one button macro for my kick, grips, stun, taunt etc (i play dk). it allows you to mouse over and interrupt or interrupt your focus, or just your target
      #showtooltip
      /cast [@mouseover,harm][@focus,exists,nodead,harm][]Mind Freeze
Caveats to using this one button macro is the priority. Mouse over has priority, so even if you have a focus target, if you hit your kick button while mousing over a different target, it will kick the mouse over instead of the focus (easiest if you have a focus dont hover your mouse over the bunch of mobs). then focus has priority over target.
It takes a bit of getting used to, but the combination of macros allows you to quickly set and reset focus targets and kick a plethora of mobs with only 2 keys. If you pug a lot and play a class with alot of stops and kicks these are almost mandatory imo
