Love all this information. Right as I started growing organic like. Helping me get past being a NOOB real fast. Getting ready to reuse my organic 'supersoil' in about a week for it's 2nd run without 'tilling' it. Just waiting for the last crop to dry. All streamed live. My first time using 'supersoil' mixed myself and first time growing autos organic like. Did pretty good I think.

Hey this is probably a better place post this questions. Growing in soil, there seems to be pros and cons to both 1) transplanting early into the final 10gal pot the plant will live in forever, to avoid any transplanting shock, even heard of using the biodegradable starter cups to avoid any transplant shock at all 2) intentionally letting the root ball fill the pot size before transplanting, so from a 1 gal to a 5 to a 10 so you have a root ball within a root ball within root ball. Which method do you think is best/prefer?

I’m a brick and stone mason so I have mixer and big mortar tubs so every spring I add my old soil in mixer add amendments and new bag of number crop and pro mix hp as well a worm casting. And let it mix well and dump into tub. And I’ll fill my 15 gallon pots and last year all I did was add pro mix hp to lighten the soil and I didn’t even feed them till flower and they were the dankest tastiest nugs I’ve ever grown and I’ve been growing for 20 years. Also dolomite lime and rock dust really help with minerals. But I haven’t owned a ph pen I over 7 years and never have any ph issue. Organic organic organic. I k ow it almost impossible to grow true organic but as long as you are ethical and use natural farming methods will see and taste the difference it gets better every season

Love your videos! Especially the Q&As and interviews. On my second grow and learned a lot from my first AND still have so much to learn. I started my second grow with 5 plants in my 3x3 but due to heavily under watering it appeared like I was going to lose 3 plants. So I started 3 more seeds and low and behold all but 1 survived. So I now have 7 plants in 5 gal fabric pots in a 3x3 in the 3 week of flower and they're all looking amazing. I know a lot could go wrong still having this many plants so close together but I have a question. How much of the quantity you can grow in a specific sized tent is "bro science" or is there data showing a struggle in yield, quality etc?

I had a little experience w/PM and had to dump a crop. I managed to get PM into my Veg tent also so I thought I would share and ask. I bought several commercial sprays and I would think problem solved only to be plagued again after a few days. I scrubbed down w/hydrogen peroxide and then I had this flash. LOL. I dumped a cap full in my humidifier and started doing it everyday. I never treated again after that. My plants were a bit greener and haven't had a problem in 3 years. Not even a bug. I haven't a flipping clue whether that was the fix or not, it worked for me?
I couldn't remember which cast you hit on PM so I made a stab. Thanks for your Pod Casts.

2 mediums in 3x3. Doesnt matter glass plastic. I use old school ph paper. Watch out for infestations when buying any bagsoil. Tis why one of reasons I grow dwc. Mixing bassilus microbes into dwc works but theres a method of order and measurement needed. For my grow anyways its a beautiful thing. Super soil if I had to soil . Premade is easier but risky of infests. Try surface plant helpers to self regulate soil. Beginner tip. Forget nutes. Ph is everything . Then youll learn proper nutrition.
Lol I followed along. Hope you dont mind.

When you were using Earth Dust did you use Fox Farm soil by any chance? I've had nothing but problems with the Earth Dust in that soil. The base worked great because I did "cook" it, but it seemed like the Boost always messes with the microbes and leaves get spots on them. I do let my soil dry out between waters though so maybe the soil is not getting fed properly. I have a bunch of the Earth Dust but unfortunately I'm not liking it! Will just use Fox Farm and nutes as needed in future grows. Might check out the super soil you mentioned as well. I want simplicity!!

High am on the fence about no-til. High am definitely re-using my soil but undecided if I will remix & re-amend the soil or just rip out the root ball of the old plant and transplant the new lady into the hole. High grow in milk crates that are about 6 gal. No til logic is that some of the old roots get left behind (they would not all get pulled out) and those roots that get left behind already have bacteria/fungi (I put in the soil) that will quickly help get the microbes in the the new rhizoshpere to take off faster. If I mix the soil (into larger pots as I want to do) then all the fungi hypae get torn up and destroyed.
High know a fellow who does no-til in 5 gal fabric pots, just rips the main root ball and transplants in the new lady, and gets 3 runs before needing to remix (til) the soil.

I keep seeing this comment from organic growers about synthetic/mineral nutrients and letting the medium dry back. This is misinformation.. Yes, you want a 2-4 hour dry back before lights off if you’re pushing your plants generative but with salts that is not what causes stress. EC in the root zone is what causes drought stress on a plant, not drying back the medium. The plant cannot tell how much water content it has in coco. In coco you will resaturate in your P1 and never let it get more than 2% dry back throughout the day.
