Yo wtf this video actually helped me understand his moveset better. I literally did not know wtf was going on half the time in phase 2 and ended up cheesing him with the shield/poke strat. Second playthrough, I beat him with a bloodhound fang in under 10 attempts cuz of this, just dodge into him and wait for specific moves. I cannot express how helpful this vid is. Thanks so much man, you're a beast.
very well done. i'm still struggling to hitless him without using anti-double-slash weapon arts like blind spot or raptor of the mists. i just can't seem to react consistently to the startup frames of the double slash, it's really hard to distinguish it because of the position you are forced to take. have you encoutered similar problem? a helpful tip would be appreciated. btw have you tried medium rolling this fight? i wonder how much more difficult it gets if it does
@@cam_i_corn2994 pretty much yes. You can also stick to his left leg when he does the attack. From the front it’s basically a guaranteed hit in my experience
Absolutely awesome, well done! Couldn't help but notice that he only did the superfast left-right swipe followed by the double-swipe once the entire fight. Is there a way to keep him from doing that? Otherwise, how do you consistently avoid damage there?
@@thetalkingmausoleum thanks mate. Very rare that he does the attack only once in almost 7 minutes. Sometimes he does it like 5 times in phase 1 lol. Was just pure rng. But the whole fight is centered around that move and also my playstyle. I always hug his right leg as you can see in the video so I am always prepared for it and then I dodge it like you see it in the video. This attack is not the issue after tens of hours on this boss. Phase 2 clone attack bs is much much worse because it’s very inconsistent because of elevation in the arena.
@@sobo089 You keep him from doing the Iframe trap move by staying far on his right side, almost behind him, for the whole fight. If he still does it chances are that you weren't close enough to his back
@@shuki7060 no I am not keeping him from doing it. At least I don’t think I do it. It could be that he does that the attack rarer when you are on his side, but I don’t know

You think the light rolling is neccessary in that case to get far enough away so that the second swipe misses, or does that work with medium rolls as well? I also already noticed the inconsistency with the clones, but thought I just messed up somehow, that explains a lot. xD
When he starts his combo with a left swing, how can you tell if he follows with a fast swing (0:51) or the delayed one? I swear i'm so close to master this fight but I keep getting hit by the delayed one

I noticed staying close to him eliminated most of the Holy Clone attacks. Do you also have strats on how to no hit those? It's very confusing to know where exactly to roll or run.
