Hi Ben, Thanks for the vlog! I've been trying to learn how to grade coins better. I'll definitely purchase one of those books. I think the only thing you did not mention is how to know if a coin has been cleaned. I've gotten coins back that say they were cleaned, but have no idea why it was designated as such.

Hey Benny, what IYO is the least respected US coin on the market in circulated condition? To me it is amazing that V nickels with full dates can be had so cheap. Looks like a great coin to get into for a collector on a lower budget.
Is that a new or uncommon edition? Can't find that particular book cover. It'd be a good video to go through all of the major coin grading books and rating/ranking them. I like this one as well as Coin World's Making the Grade.
I once lost a toothe from a missed up swing of my hammer. Shortly after the boss showed up . I explained to him how I bet my buddy 10 dollars my mustache would stop his hammer.
I suspect that if coin grading were handed over to artificial intelligence via cellphone scans, much of the fun of coin collecting might be taken away. If coin grading were a national necessity for some reason, it would have been turned over to digital technology long ago. Coin grading is an art, it's an aesthetic, and as an art, there is likely a slow-as-molasses incentive to go AI.
@@TheCoinGeek I might be wrong, but I think they were saying that if they buy coins from you, then they know you’re applying the knowledge from the book in grading/authenticating those coins. 🙂
I've referenced that book more times than I can remember. Thanks, Ben!
Nice job 😊😊😊
Thanks for sharing that.

Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll definitely be picking up a copy of this book!
I’m planning to come to the coin show. Looking forward to it.

They may not want to let it go

Info on a maker. Please view my comment on your hobo nickel album from 3 years ago. Way more to the makers story than I can type.
