For the copper tag the text in Japanese is "株式会社 日米商店発売", which basically means "Corporation - Fuji Bikes". So that tag is actually a head badge from a vintage Fuji Bike! Based on the style of the characters it is a pre-WWII tag. Cool find!
What I can find on APCGS is that it was a Australian company that is now defunct. I read that you should take any coins you have in their slabs out quickly since they caused environmental damage which makes sense looking at the coin you showed. Apparently they used cheap Chinese plastic holders.
Not sure about the quality of the cases, but quite possibly sub-standard. The whole company seemed a bit dodgy, trying to trade off PCGS’s good name, and not necessarily a third party grader. They appeared to have one main ‘client’ who sold on Facebook. I think there grading was OK, if perhaps a bit erratic. I don’t think it has any premium over a raw coin.
I was not expecting to see a coin with Monkey D. Luffy on it when I started watching this video. I don't like FDR nearly enough to have a set of Roosevelt dimes like that one. Nice sets, though. The 1939 peso in that strong art deco style is really awesome. Thanks and happy new year, Ben!
Hi Ben, love your vids. Nice pick up with the Trader Bee holder…in all seriousness you should consider getting your own OPC holders. From what i heard (but dont quote me on this), to get your own you just have to buy 10k holders at $1 each, and then the grading fees. Definitely worth checking out IMO. Would love to see some special edition OPC PCGS holders! I most certainly would buy some 😉 Cheers!
Given that the indian cent was certified in Australia it makes sense that it is upside down. The tag has Chinese characters which makes me think it is Japanese.
Imagine that, a “round” octagon-shaped 1989 43rd Edition of the Red Book / Whitman Coin Products Silver medal featuring Minerva ? ⚾️⚾️⚾️ ROGER, The LOS ANGELES DODGER

I was about to state that it is a "Japanese thingy", but I think DanDaMan is correct 🙂
Dan is 100% right!
Thanks
I like the purple one

Thanks Ben. Random is good. Spent summer in Tucson with gramma in the 70s. I’ll be by again one day for a visit. Have a great show coming up.

Lol I grew up in Racine, my mom actually worked at the publishing company that Redbook used when I was a kid
Very cool. I bought a few of their tokens over the years.
Love those dimes 😍 would be fun to pick out the best ones for grading!!!
Likes to the Australian silver 2025, has a great strike of King Charles. Goes well with the Year of the snake medal 😄
I love Trader Bea holders
Interesting lot of medals & coins.

Oh the places we’ll go!
5:46 Strong Art Deco obverse.
Year of the snake. Maybe the Dbacks will win the World Series.
No answers for you Ben! Just algorithm food and a smashed 👍 Button!
The symbol is Mount Fuji, I climbed the mountain back in 86 or 87.
It says "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine"
Happy, happy, new year ya'll

I like those SEITZ plastic holder case’s. I don’t see them very often.
I thought the Mexico mint did private issue stuff. I'd have assumed they minted that piece.
Happy and prosperous going forward.
That one piece coin looks awesome thanks for sharing
Are you going to be at the Central States show in April?
Happy New Year From Wisconsin
Interesting pieces, nice designs.
The copper tag is likely from Mt. Fuji in Japan.
I think so too. After hiking up Mt.Fuji one would proudly put this little plaque on his walking stick. banzai!
The writing is either Chinese or Korean. Not Japanese
You can use your phone to translate any foreign language, there are numerous apps that do that.
Happy New Year Ben & gang!
I google lensed the Japaneese tag and it said "Fuji Mountain"
LUCKY #7!
