2023FY "Grad Students' and Faculty/Staff Members' Mini-lecture Program" The 21th Session
In this lecture, we will explore the concept of interpersonal cognition within social psychology and the classical theory of implicit personality theory, learning through concrete examples.

“Mini-Lecture Program by UTokyo Graduate Students and Faculty Members” is a program in which 10-minute mini-lectures are delivered by graduate students and faculty members who have completed the University of Tokyo Future Faculty Program (UTokyo FFP: a program to learn to teach at universities). Six people who delivered excellent lectures in the UTokyo FFP classes will teach their chosen topic in an easy-to-understand way to those who are unfamiliar with the field by utilizing what they learned in the course.

これって、何の役にたつのか、わかりません。感覚で生きているものです。
実際に私におきた話。私には、二人の上司がいました。どちらにつくかで、出世するかが違います。２年前まで、明らかにAという上司についたほうがよいような気がしたのですが、感覚的に、私はBという上司につきました。そしたら、一年後にA上司が刑事事件をおこして退社をしてしまいました。A上司について、私は一つ上にいきました。こういう事が現実の連続なのです。論理的に考えても、意味がない事が世の中には、たくさんあるのですよ❗

何の役に立つかという議論はそもそもアカデミズムの場では二の次です。古文の教員になるつもりもない人が源氏物語の勉強して何の役に立つのか？微分積分をいつ使うのか？コンピューターだって、最初は部屋一室分くらいある巨大なモノでこんな大掛かりなものが本当に役に立つのかよく分かってませんでした。でもそれらを学び、作ります。何故かといえば、学問の世界では興味関心を最も重要な種として育てるからです。人間は富などなくても、興味関心だけで一生幸せに暮らせるようなタイプが一定数いるのです。それはちょうど音楽の才能を持った音楽家と同じようなものです。　あなたにはこういうジャンルを楽しく扱う才能は無いし、また理解出来る知能も備わってない、ただそれだけのことです。
