- US President Joe Biden is resisting growing calls to abandon his re-election bid. He's vowing to return to the campaign trail next week. Biden is currently isolating at his beach house in the state of Delaware, after testing positive for COVID-19. His doctor says his condition is improving. The president is under increasing pressure, with many senior Democrats worried that he cannot beat Donald Trump in November. More than 30 congressional Democrats have now called for him to drop out.

Just the optic of his walk, his slow and painful way of negotiating the stairs to the airplane, his forgetfulness of the topic and names of people while talking in public, his unclear mumbling... are enough for people NOT to vote for him. He should step down months ago with his promise of being a "transitional president" and also... most importantly... to keep his legacy intact. Now, even if he steps down because of pressure... his legacy has already tainted with this hanging-on debacle.

@@obriets I disagree. He did the right thing to run 4 years ago. He did the right thing to step down today. Old age can sneak up fast on anyone. Just look at past president like Reagan (Alzheimer's disease not long after he retired), Bush, Sr. (weak and fragile not too long after his term as well).

As much I want him to step aside, he won't. This failure to do what it is right will be the death knell of the US. As an American, I have ZERO optimism for the future here. When Biden loses, him and his sycophants will blame those who do not vote for him. I will not vote for Geno cide Joe. He signed his own reelection failure by supporting the far right administration in Israel, having 4 states cancel their Democratic Presidential primaries, turning his back on the climate crisis by allowing more fossil fuel permits than Trump, his failure to use the bully pulpit to advocate for higher min wage, and his breaking of promise to be only a 1 term POTUS. Even if Biden steps aside, he and the DNC have caused irreparable damage to their own party and their missions. I will be voting for Dr Jill Stein in November.

Time for other Democrats to show some gratitude - or grow a backbone - and support the President. Besides, the path for Harris to get to the White House is with Biden. Not other way. So stop being naive.
It’s not about gratitude but what’s best for the country, and the party. The Republicans are extremely strong right now and President Biden can’t reliably formulate coherent sentences. President Biden has passed his best by date. The US needs a strong alternative to former president Trump.

I was really getting annoyed by these types of videos and just now watching them because there’s nothing new it’s just another guy who I don’t know coming out against them.
