So did you simply stop the DTC from coming up in theECU and preventing the CEL from coming on? Is the problem mechanically fix or is this a work around? Is this simulation?
@Auto Flash Performance: a lot of good info! But then, what was the fix? I have identical issue: intake camshaft got stuck at 36.2 degree when rpm > 3000; while all other things work near perfectly. Dealer erased codes, perform Drive-in teaching processes. But the code 1208 still come back once in a while. So you didn’t mean to say that your actuations test somehow fixed the issue? I am very interested in knowing: was that the cam adjuster shifted, timing chain stretched or balance shaft sprocket worn?? Please advise!

it is balance shaft issue :)
