i pre purchased this the second i heard about it. Crisol is what got me into jazz back in the day. Roy Hargrove inspired me again in the 2010s to try to learn jazz guitar. Maybe Russell Malone's killer solo on Una Mas was a factor there. RIP Roy, RIP Russell! Two legends
When I heard abour the release of the album Grand-Terre there was a big smile on my face. And since I have started playing "Priorities" this smile is reaching my ears. What a masterpiece ! I can't believe that Verve kept this album in the vault for more than 25 years, they must be crazy. I do hope that the jams between Roy and Los Van Van in 1996 were recorded and will be released someday as well.
