My good lord! I hope to master the upright bass like this one day soon. I so love Mr. Bromberg feel and tone. It is very odd to me as a bass player- Somehow when I listen to Brian, John and Dave solos on the upright, I am drawn into a pure enjoyment place where I don't even want to learn what they're doing I'm just caught up in enjoying the solos! and when I list to Ron, Christian and Ray solos I'm always more intrigued to learn what they're doing....hmmm
That's because BB and JP are not as transcribable as RB or CMcB. The latter seem more doable for me. The former are freaks that leave me gobsmacked.
