I'm a musician, almost 60 years old.
I fell happy when I see young generations so talented and free of the usual vices related to he music labor.
New generations are better than the olds, and that is something to be grateful for.
Carrying-on with the classic style developed back in the day, evolving it farther. I was surprised to see they wrote this song/music, it's so sophisticated from such a young band, Allicin Young's writing and vocals are classic - timeless sounds! I just stumbled on the "Bygones" today, and after watching a few videos so far (not an expert on their music) it seems since Allison Young cut her hair she went from pretty to beautiful, and her music evolved simultaneously. She was great before - BRILLIANT now. Brilliant and beautiful too, plus the entire band is "fire" as they say nowadays, "duende" we used to say - music with burning passion. The scatting Allicin did slayed me! It seems the band really jelled on this, and I'm looking forward to exploring the rest of their work. I always love great songs - they seem to be a fountain of them............cheers!
I have said this before but if Allison had been born in the 1940 she would be the greatest singer in history, she is fantastic!!!!
In the 1940s she would have been involved in the 2nd World War though... - I wish her many more peaceful years !
Except this song won an Oscar in 1943, right?😉

So glad I found the Bygones. Incredible. Allison's voice is an absolute delight. She is in a class of her own. Words fail me. Josh has a style that makes me want to pick up my guitar again. I may do that, though I am not is his league. Living in New Zealand, it is unlikely I will ever see them live. But I live in hope.
WOW! Of all the songs y'all have written, I find this one by far the most impressive! If I didn't know it was a new song, I would assume it was one of those great jazz standards that I'd just never heard before. Maybe if I "spoke" jazz, I would have some idea how one would write a melody and chords that go where these do-- and sound great!-- but since I don't, it just seems magical. Like others have said, an instant classic. Congrats to y'all!

Absolutely love this! It has the classic sound of an “old standard” from the 1930s and ‘40s. That was my parents’’generation, and I think they would have loved it too. Allison’s voice is great as always, and she’s absolutely stunning in that black dress and diamond necklace. Josh’s guitar work and backing vocals are outstanding, and the bandmates you’ve assembled for this one make their own stellar contributions. Well done, all. Bravo!
I love this. Love them both. I just listened again to "It's Christmas Every Day" again, too. Allison's voice is so beautiful, obviously. But she also has such an amazing presence. IMHO, there's no one out there better than Josh and Allison. Wishing them both all the success in the world.

I moved into my new house two weeks ago. My wife and I just finished putting up a Christmas tree (accompanied by Ella Fitzgeralds Swinging Christmas LP) and it is now starting to feel like home. What a perfect song to capture this joyous feeling of being with the people you love in this time of year!

I missed Christmas this year due to a ten week stay in hospital, and as a result I missed this excellent song being posted - I am now catching up, and when Alison starts to scat along to Josh's excellent solo, it makes my blood run cold - amazing performance by all concerned. Alison has proved her songwriting ability - this is well up there with many classic songs - not least her last Christmas offering. I could go on all day about this one, but I won't.
ps - like the new shorter hair, Alison - really suits your retro look

They are both different and awesome on their own, but both Allison and Carson Mckee have a sweetness, tone, and range that complement Josh, and Josh complements them both also, so well. A beautiful, creative place to be stuck in the middle of! And then Reina and Toni - it's all great!
Suddenly, it's 1942 all over again! And per much the same things - as, then and now, in a dark, confused world with great musicians bringing some much-needed distractions from it with songs of much-need beauty and fun!

I live with a musician and see daily the power the people of music bring to the world. It's not an option for them - musical people just have to produce musical experiences - some for themselves and sometimes for others - and the rest of us? we get to enjoy your skill, craft, work, etc. And for years, like friends and family who meet up every so often, we get to see the growth, maturity, and generosity of groups of musicians such as these. In these times we are able to be cats, sitting on a shelf in a corner, and see such creations happen. For the un-musical such as me it is magical. But since I work in wood I know the concept of 10 hours of prep work to make a good single hour happen as the piece all comes together - as this one did. Rambling late at night. Thank you for delighting us all. There are so many struggles in the world today and these minutes of light you give us help us mange the negative energy.
