What would be great is to visually see the comparison of what you are talking about here... the full issue statement sentence vs just the issue statement.

I knew my con law material and a test was 50/50 essay/multiple choice. I ran out of time getting to the second question which was a big one. Any tips? I did well on MC but always seem to run out of time

You need to understand that perfection is impossible. This means allocating the right amount of time to each question. When you run out of time you move to the next question. Keep in mind that everyone is in the same position, so the student that allocates the correct amount of time to each question will usually outperform the person who runs out of time on the second question.

Learn Law Better that is the answer I needed thank you. I law school prof said you should “triage” to see which questions will demand more time and award more points. I didn’t heed his advice in the heat of the moment and answered some of the minor issues with too much detail. All good though, thank you for your help. You are right, no essay response is ever perfect!

My Professor loves IRAC...I think he just laughs at us during test time cause we all have different answers

I pay attention during class and use the method the professor says. If a professor mentions something about IRAC, i make a note that that professor prefers that method. If a different professor mentions CREAC, FIRAC, or any other crac, i make sure to write that style on their exam.
