I’ve been dreaming of getting into law school since I was 18. I’ve been a paralegal for 10 years and dreamed of one day going to law school. During my senior year in college I took the LSAT and did so poorly on it that I wouldn’t even be admitted to a school. I felt crushed and thought my dreams of becoming an attorney was over. I came across your channel and was determined to try again. I’m happy to say that I’ve been admitted to a law school and will be starting in the spring semester. Thank you for your encouraging videos.
Well produced video and fascinating historical knowledge! It’s so common that we lawyers, like many other professionals, don’t FEEL like lawyers. But its refreshing to know this is perfectly normal and spans across time!
Imposter syndrome is very real. I am very fortunate to have found (hopefully) a life-long friend in law school. He confided in me that I made him feel like an imposter. Ironically, the whole time, he made me feel like an imposter. I told him this. Once we got past that, we were able to reassure each other that we are both deserving of being in law school and that we are smart, capable and can absolutely do this. That was a game changing moment in my law school career. Unsurprisingly, since that exchange, the past two semesters of law school have been our most successful.
Professor, Cooley LS doesn't have a good reputation. They say they're offering a law profession to those otherwise ineligible. If someone has no other choice, would you recommend a lower-tired school like Cooley?
Dear Professor Baez, Can you please state your opinion on federal/state judicial externships and whether these externships make a job or clerkships applicant more attractive. Thank you.
Are there any books you recommend before entering law school? I'm currently reading The Legal Analyst by Ward Farnsworth. Thanks so much for providing super helpful content!
Having this right now Hispanic first gen law student a handful of people look like me but you could tell by there upbringing they didn't see the shit u see. I love the law and the work but you feel like wtf how did I even get here fucking annoying
I attended sub-par public schools, almost all Hispanics, in Miami. We moved to the suburbs when I was in 9th grade, so I experienced both weak and strong schools. Hope it goes well.

Thanks for sharing your story. It's so important to have someone to share with, and that can lead to even more success.
It gets better with time. Just look back at your accomplishments when you have doubt.
It's a good problem to have. It means you've got so far that you cannot believe you possibly got there but by a mistake or divine intervention.
Thank you so much for the encouragement, professor!! I feel so much better to start law school this year.
Hope you have a great year.

Cmon buddy it ain't that hard to pass the bar.
Before you pass it seems daunting. Yet you are correct-most people pass it within their first three attempts.
