Best motorcycle review I’ve ever seen. Thanks man! I’m 70 years old and dreamed of Royal Enfield when I was a teenager. Back then you could mail order for delivery in U.S. Since then I’ve had many motorcycles for street and dirt. Now I’m getting a Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Undisputedly, Royal Enfield has a commendable winner in hand. Thanks Bosky for your indepth and unalloyed review which answers all possible queries . Just awaiting your reviews of this Stallion in city/ highway riding situations including riding dynamics, heat management, turning radius, mileage, gearings, illuminations etc .So far all we have seen are the videos in inhospitable terrains . Wonder whether this is targeted for adv lovers or for all riders? You being a seasoned rider and considering your years of riding experience and keen sense of observation your review exudes credibility , which is second to none. ❤❤❤

His communication style is spot-on-no frills, no-nonsense straight talk. I appreciate the clarity in his videos. I have a quick question: considering the DOHC and high compression ratio, is there a possibility that the engine's wear and tear occurs more rapidly as KTM motorcycles? around 30 to 35k km

Love the review; ride by wire takes a little learning curve. Levers and grips can be upgraded with aftermarket parts. Even the rear sets for more customized riding position. I think for the international market they need a 650-700 cc engine to compete with the T700 or BMW 850 GS!

Another detailed first review that only Bosky can deliver. ❤❤❤.
It is refreshing to hear a heart out expression of experience in relatable and understandable language by Bosky which is a pleasant departure from other channels that r always in a haste to be posting first only to end up reading out the specsheet and spitting out obvious facts without any emotion especially the younger self proclaimed auto journalists / influencers.
Also, majority of the bikers can relate to Bosky coz he talks for the riders with average but adequate riding skills instead of trying to come off as a pro-rider that points out to information that will sparingly bother majority of the riders.

You're absolutely right any manufacturer with a big expensive ADV bike is not going to bring out a middleweight this capable and refined. Which is kind of a tragedy. I have been wishing for some time that someone would build a bike pretty much exactly like what they are aiming for with this new Himalayan. the other manufacturers who make big expensive ADV bikes don't want to build a good 450, people would realize that that is the biggest and heaviest bike you really want for actual ADV riding. I'll compare this to Honda who makes one of my favorite small ADV bikes the CRF350L. Great bike lightweight capable off-road very reliable. The engine is just too darn small for road miles and luggage weight, not helped by the soft suspension. They could have fixed that with simply a bigger engine and different springs but instead the CRF450 is a competition focused expensive bike not really ADV. Again Honda doesn't want to detract sales from the Africa Twin and the Transalp and the 500X which unfortunately are all heavy twins and more street tour oriented. The new Himalayan is basically what I had hoped Honda would make a much more powerful CRF350L. You can repeat this analysis for most of the other big brands of motorcycles. They may have a cheap little 300 dual purpose single or maybe a 30-year-old design air-cooled big single still on sale (Suzuki, Kawasaki) but they really want the big bucks for their bigger bikes. The only real competition to this is KTM's 390 but they've always held that bike back (low suspension travel, cast wheels etc.) I don't know who in India would buy a KTM 390 when this new Himalayan is available, RE is going to eat KTM's lunch! Go Royal Enfield! (And please don't ever make a big expensive heavy overwrought 1300cc twin cough cough ahem BMW.)

Looking forward to the Part 2 of this review.
I had experienced a 390 ADV in Spiti recently and from that experience I have some queries for the Himalayan 450.
    1. How's the gear shift? Clunky or smooth?
    2. How it behaves when you downshift in high speed?
    3. Its 20kg heavier than the 390 ADV. How heavy this feels in real life?
    4. Did you miss the absence of Traction control during your ride?
    Thank you.

I just recently discovered your RUclips channel. It has been really informative. I am a motorcycle novice. The manner in which you explain is just awesome.
Apart from the reviews and informative contents. I also enjoyed the other type of content. Especially the one where you advice us not to teach a lesson to bad drivers.🤭
Keep doing what you are doing.
    Big Love from the Northeast.😇

Here's to the Old Horse, the Himalyan 411 without which the ADV segment wouldn't have been what it is today we wouldn't have had this perfect motorcycle for the masses!

I'm in a bit of a dilemma and need your suggestion. I currently ride interceptor 650 but I'm a huge fan of adv's mostly because of their capabilities in touring and suspension. I don't like the suspension in interceptor 650 and also a bit outdated comparing 450 with it. What do you suggest? Will this be a good upgrade if i go for himalayan 450. The two major reasons I'm considering 450 is because of the suspension as well as touring capabilities on road. I hardly do any off-road.

Namaskara sir. It is nice to listen to this calm and relaxed review of the bike. I see you have used your experience in giving us a composed and unbiased opinion without getting into the hype around you. Looking forward for a video with cons of the Himalayan(if you can find any) 😊
