Thank you big time. You have the only video I could find for gluing thin front wheel carpet tires. I noticed you glued only the inside of the front tires. I don't need to glue the face side of the front wheel tires?
You do! I just always start with the inner in case I mess up. Especially if it’s been awhile.. True fact.. I actually forgot to ever glue the front and was at a carpet race in Portland and my car was “way off”. After almost killing Maifield about 6 times while he was cornering.. I pulled off and “found the issue”… 🤣
Carpet thing but nothing to do with venting. Carpet rears use open cell foam/vented rim, Dirt rears use closed cell foam/vented rims and tires. Schumacher has new 4W carpet fronts with the same height sidewalls as rears so use foam…. But those are none of my concern….
4 wheel YES .. 2 wheel NO. You can cut down the “dirt” wheels to fit the slim front tires but you would essentially have to cut the dirt tires down to fit the slim rims and I’m guessing that’s NOT the hot setup for 2 wheel drive.
I ruined 6 tires just yesterday actually. Jconcepts thin is a horrible glue choice. It drives on contact and you get a lopsided tire. Lopsided tires go in the garbage
@@aefanboy3464 I do all the prep . Tires always stick where they aren’t supposed to. Especially with that thin jconcepts glue. It’s no surprise the hobby is failing

Thanks! Have a shock one I’ll load up tomorrow!
@@aefanboy3464 ok friend!!i subscribe!!🤝🤝
Thank you!!!
Why no foam insert in fronts?🤔
Low side well.. not needed or desired.
Must be a carpet thing? Kinda how dirt tires get a hole punched in the sidewall....🤷♂️

@@aefanboy3464 I can dig it!🤟😎 Learning new stuff everyday!!
Can ya use clay/dirt tires with carpet wheels? I think I ordered slim wheels for my dirt buggy 🤦🏼♂️

@@aefanboy3464 thanks! I already ordered more front wheels lol
And glue both sides. I packed these away right after and forgot to glue the outsides…. Almost killed Ryan Maifield while he was cornering

50/50 thin and medium is a great consistency. You can Acetone them off and start over if need be!
No rc tire is easy to glue. 50-75% of mine go in the garbage. I’m probably abandoning the hobby
It’s not bad if you take your time, prep and use the right stuff. A lot of people use way too much glue

Use medium glue and the steel tips…
