- I created a Valheim randomizer to revolutionize and ruin the Valheim gameplay experience.
Today, I'm diving headfirst into the chaotic world of Valheim speedruns with a mind-bending twist. I'm playing a custom randomizer mod that turns the tables on me by spawning enemies at any moment, and they can drop ANYTHING! Brace yourselves for a wild ride as I attempt to take down Valheim's first boss, Eikthyr, amidst the unpredictable chaos.
So join me on this nail-biting adventure, as I face the unpredictability of the randomizer mod and challenge Eikthyr with everything I've got. Will I emerge victorious and claim the Eikthyr world record, or will I become another victim of Valheim's harsh and merciless landscape? How do we get our grubby little hands on that randomizer?
This brought back fond memories of our first Valheim server, where we encountered a bug that made it so the game just started cycling through EVERY EVENT IN THE GAME. One after the other, unending. Even the ones we hadn't unlocked yet, and even boss specific ones we'd already cleared.
It started with "a cold wind blows from the mountain" then right after that we were being hunted (weird but ok, I guess events can happen right after one another), then a skeletton surprise. Umm, what. "A foul smell from the swamp" Oh. Oh no.
So you can imagine our unbridled PANIC when we were between iron and silver age, prettying up our base with freshly unlocked stone and iron build pieces, and suddenly we were thrown into a hellish gauntlet (40 minutes? An hour? Longer?? No idea.), culminating in a horde of fulings veritably laying siege to our base.
Keep in mind, this was the first time most of us had even SEEN a fuling.
We were underequipped. All our gear that we DID have was outside the walls in our death markers. We were digging up all of our old armor just for a chance to survive long enough to get our weapons and armor back. Food started running low. Our health and stamina meads had completely run out. We were stuck in a hellish purgatory of death and rebirth, cursing Odin because HADN'T WE PROVEN WORTHY OF VALHALLA YET?!?
Valheim had unwillingly transformed into a Dark Souls soul level 1 run.
It was hands down the funniest experience I've ever had in a game. By the end, all three of us had tears streaming down our faces, crying from laughter and exhaustion. We eventually managed to reset the game by restarting the server a few times. I've never heard of this being a kno2n bug, but some part of me wishes this would be a feature in the game now. May the best Viking win!

The fish wraps at the end were the perfect punchline to this video.
Is it possible to make Loot Tables? And then randomize the item drops based on those tables? So killing something from the Meadows gives you a random "Meadows-Tier" item.
Probably way harder to do. It seems like you had it choose a random integer from x to y, where y is the largest item ID.

The mod looks fun but i think the boss trophy drop way too often, plus you want people to kill the boss and if they find the heads no point in killing them.
