Not defending the officers involved but this is how shooting works. When you train, you train those instincts to give you a higher likelihood of hitting your target in high stress scenarios. If the front sight of the gun is off the target by a millimeter that can translate to the bullet being feet off target depending on how far you are away from what you are trying to hit, this is multiplied by the fact that every time you fire a gun it throws off that front sight by quite a lot. A 30-40% hit rate is seen as average statistically.

My son is autistic and nearly 6 years old and I find this incomprehensible. How can a cop justify shooting an innocent father and his small son?

I'm Autistic too and this is horrible because 1 he was a child and 2 he had a mental challenge and that Autism is absolutely frustrating because while others can get through things relatively quickly a person who's autistic has a harder time in everything and especially in a stressful situation they would freak out.

Look I'm black and I believe the ppl police are seriously outta and many have been for years when it comes to my own kind...look at this case this should open many eyes to the problems we speak of we should band together if all live truly mattered to you. Had we done this years/decades ago this father and son could be alive now. Every life innocently taken is a life we as people should take personally

Not all cops are like this. Why are people so quick to lay the misdeeds of a few onto the entirety of the group? It makes no logical sense. For every one of these shooting videos, there are a dozen videos of officers being kind, respectful human beings, just like any other. You have to learn to not let tiny minorities affect your view of the majority. That is one of the keys to solving racism and judgement in this world.

I agree, if I was in this country and I heard this, I would had come out and protest it in the right way, when this happened, I didn’t hear this on the news, it got zero cares and attention, this kid was very young and they killed him, this should had been a massive story
