    like the extended roof. It serves a great purpose for storing wood etc.

    love the cabin Steve....looks like a great place to relax. Being a builder my whole adult life, might I make a suggestion? The I-joists that you used for the roof system should be supported the entire length of the roof. I see that you have some of them supported, but you are putting an enormous amount of pressure (on the joist) at the last point of support. The year you get a huge snowfall is not when you want this roof to collapse (or ever.....haha) You can get away with extending them maybe 2 ft without support but the distance in this video is certain to fail.... Not being a fault finder, just trying to help... love the outdoors myself Bowhunterz

      +bowhunterz I was thinking the same thing, maybe when he puts that bathroom in it will help plus he could incorporate more support at that time.

    You have in Alaska lot of snow, right? So why is the angel of the roof so low. Is just holds snow and damage your roof very very fast. Oh yeah overall nice cabin oI

    I've heard that firewood shouldn't be stored up against a wall like that, or does it not matter because it's a log cabin?

    that's not vary much wood in Missouri we use eight full cords of firewood to heat our home through the winter October - early April if it's bad 7 on a light winter

      Your home is probably a lot bigger than his, and his doors look pretty thick as well, so I'm guessing he took the time to make his cabin heat efficient

    Shouldn't the bat house be painted black? and it should have 4 sides so they can move to a wall with just the right temp as the sun moves across the sky... and it should be at least 15 feet high I know you want something to eat the bugs but is it safe to have bats so close to your cabin? I mean.. they are known for having rabies. I liked your cabin tho.

    Why did you shoot the wolf? Make you feel more macho, boost a weak ego?

    • @masterguide88
      @masterguide88  8 лет назад +40

      because they were hanging around our lodge in about to kill our horses plus by taking one female wolf out of the population is the equivalent of saving 100 moose. it has nothing to do with ego and that is a very rude comment to make
