Great clip. I’m new and haven’t done one yet but I have a rod I want to do. Do I just wet and dry the blank and remove as much of the top coat as I can without going too deep and rubbing through it do I have to scrape the top coat off first then smooth out with wet n dry ?? I think I’ve seen something somewhere about using a Stanley knife blade to scrape them back
    Thanks in advice
    Mal

Very useful series of videos thanks. I've got an old Glass fibre beachcaster that I keep threatening to rebuild & restore. Any recommendations for the best paint to use as it is a horrible shade of yellow and I would like to paint it black before Bondaseal and new rings etc. Stay safe & well!

Bondaseal will attack most paints. If you use car paint, apply a 2k car lacquer instead of Bondaseal.
