This video got me in motorcycles. I ended up watching All Megazone 23 movies and loved them all. I made it my goal to buy a motorcycle after watching the movies. Fast forward 4 months later and I now have a motorcycle…the only problem is that I know have riding anxiety and haven’t been able to ride it because of fear. I decided that today im gonna go out for a ride and watched this video to remind myself of the reason why I wanted a motorcycle. Definitely more excited than nervous now💪
What helped my motorcycle anxiety was riding in a third world country When you get comfortable riding without a helmet absolutely drunk in a nation without traffic laws riding in a safe country with proper gear is easy
Your comment made me realize I first started drawing because of the anime I grew up with. I've been slacking off recently, so I'm going to start taking it more seriously so I can make cool shit to inspire people like yourself, thanks for the reminder.
Right, considering the Nuclear devastation they just witnessed. It seems that brutal events or times create brutal people. Must be part of the Human psychology to adapt your behavior or mentality to whatever scenario is present. We truly are an amazing race the more you think about it.
*Megazone 23* - one of the most badass Anime movie series of the 1980's, only beaten by *Akira* (atleast in my opinion). How much i wanted to be one of these guys when i was a kid.
***** oh well.. there were some other good 80s animes like "bubblegum crisis" or "armored trooper votoms" :) ... but you are right.. "megazone 23" is definitely great!
@the Shadow yeah the over sexual stuff sucks, I mean if I want to watch porn I'll go and watch actual porn on the internet I don't want that stuff when I'm watching something serious.
massaweed420 Its not the fact anime dont have big budget its publics view of anime is animes like negima magister (i dont have the strength to say the whole blasted name lol) mainstream reduces us to snake ecchi. and pedophilia lol

I can't get enough of this video. ElFamasoDemon, you sir are a god damn ARTIST and Scholar of all thing fantastical. Thank you for putting out such great work!
I start playing these for the music while doing something else, but I always get stuck watching these amazing videos that go so well with the music. Outrun gotta be the music genre with the best music videos; old school violence anime or kickass 80's action movies all the way!
For everyone curious about the pinball machine: 0:05 and 0:25 (copyright-skirting "sнvег иоwкs" in place of "SilverHawks") 0:15 (pretty much the ThunderCats logo on the center bumper) AIC was the animation studio for both of those shows, as well as for Megazone 23.
Nowadays anime are just being oversaturated by some kawaii genre that are fulfilled by so many anime girl whore or some romantic bullshittery and i hate it, can we just go back to the 80's
Man, after watching Megazone 23, this really shows off how much they could have improved the OVAs with some snappy editing and speeding up a few scenes.
dreman999 It makes me wish that the 80s and early 90s action cartoons that were made for American TV but mainly animated in Japan, were as badass and gritty as animes like Megazone 23 but the FCC and overly concerned parents wouldn't allow it. In fact even with all the watered down violence, lack of killing characters, and the mandatory good moral lessons, parents at the time still complained that such shows were too violent for kids.
0:27 Holy fucking shit, that motorcycle looks like a 1st generation Yamaha V-max, which I own. Makes me realize how much cooler that thing is and I'll be hearing this music now everytime I ride that thing now.
listening this song i remember last year early winter when snow started driping from sky . all drivers forgot how to drive car but i'm not... passing all the cars double of their speeds and listening this song . oh god i remember then my blood got adrenaline rush from trying controling car in the snow . oh good times good old times....
The song has Hi-NRG, Industrial and a bit of Depeche Mode influence with a melody a little creepy. So it could be Darkwave, sounds like songs of She Past Away too.
Which part of Megazone 23 is this? 2nd or 3rd? You can tell it's not the same character design as the first part, same character designer for Macross. Unless it's spliced in with another anime. I haven't seen the last two parts of Megazone 23 in years. I can't remember much of the last 2 parts.

@@timothyrockwell2638 I hope you still draw. Great starts have amazing finishes.
The movie is Megazone 23(Part II). One of the best animations , I recommend the the whole 3 parts. Megazone 23, look it. Amazing music btw xD
alvordar almoncar
imho the first "megazone 23" part was the best! :D
levelminusone I liked the space gore combat against the dezlag in the second part xD
alvordar almoncar
that was badass, tho! :D
+alvordar almoncar best animation? look for Akira
wow so this movie series clearly inspired Akira the movie or maybe it was inspired by the novel?
Damn, these old crime/dystopian anime have some fucking style man.
They just don't make gritty realistic looking anime like this anymore.
PuuberZ sadly this way by far the best era for animation, (one punch man tho)
PuuberZ thats complete bullshit.
PuuberZ watch Chain chronicles
generation difference, the early post-war society of Japan was pretty fucking rough

Don't forget cyber city oedo and Dominion Tank Police
felipe21279 I second that "wanted to be one of those guys when I was kid" part
If only I knew this even existed when I was a kid....
this moment when you realize that the 80s generation animes are better than the animes you get today
Skrix Ehhh not really. It is all subjective.
@the Shadow yeah the over sexual stuff sucks, I mean if I want to watch porn I'll go and watch actual porn on the internet I don't want that stuff when I'm watching something serious.
It was mostly the OVA’s and Films that were good.
Shut the Fuck up nerd
Better than most in general but some gems are made today
I remember this edit so perfectly.
It's be far too long since then.
So inspiring. Man.
Still one of the hardest you've dropped.
The moment where the underlying bass kicks in when he enters the mall still gives me chills.
Man, how anime has changed. It was so good drawn * sob *
I was just thinking that. This was grungy, moody, and really cool. No giant-eyed cat girls in sight. Which movie was this from?
@@BlazingOwnager Megazone 23 Part 2

Anime in the 80s: This
Also anime in the 80s: "Master the bees! The bees are coming!"
Another great vid to great music.
2020s is the new 1980s.
I think he’s talking about cyberpunk culture in general being the new 80s
Well we have 2020 now
Yeah
I mean like AIDS came out in 1981 and the corala virus in 2020 so it means this will be just like the 80s
Der Nerd Der kluge
Lmao didn’t think of that xD
I came for the music, but stayed for the visuals.
When anime was still badass
right? anime from late 80s and early 90s was awesome. ill watch that shit all day. but the new stuff just isn't that cool really...
massaweed420 Its not the fact anime dont have big budget its publics view of anime is animes like negima magister (i dont have the strength to say the whole blasted name lol) mainstream reduces us to snake ecchi. and pedophilia lol
anime is still badass, just watch sao ^_^
Not the same. Personnally I totally dislike anime design nowadays. But I agree, the plot is super cool.
Ali Ibn Ibrahim It's for kids. XD No, this one is OK for me. I was more talking about shoujos design.
The meaty punk who smashed a night stick with his mighty forearm then flipped a cop car all on his lonesome is body goals tbh.
I don't know, I think it'd be way too impractical to be that buff. Like how would you fit through normal sized doors?
That's the goal
you don't you smash threw them.
@Zoomer Waffen It's the Ogre Physique
Thought the same

oh yeah, the old _"my motorcycle can stand a rocket launcher, but my gun will destroy your tank with one shot"_ cliche XD
They just have the buff guy doing the same thing with the rocket as he did with the nightstick.
Also I watch some of this and unfortunately it's a bit more realistic.
its more 80's than 80's itself
You wanna know the funniest part? Those motorcycle thugs are the good guys.
Biker from Hotline Miami would fit right in with these guys.
+Pure Beef Magma
He always reminded me of the gang from Akira, their weapons were more brutal and improvised.
He’s killed hundreds of russain mobsters, raided and killed everyone in a police station.
Here in America we have public shootings in malls, In Japan they have public motorcycle killings in the malls.
Here in America the police would have run over the motorcycle pride parade rejects in a tank.
I can't get enough of this video. ElFamasoDemon, you sir are a god damn ARTIST and Scholar of all thing fantastical. Thank you for putting out such great work!
I want a SilverHawks pinball machine!
Oldschool animation. Love it
Still the greatest AMV ever made. The pacing, no lyrics, just awesome imagery and sound.

Because it was drawn and animated by *human hands*

This cop is a badass, took an Ogre on a motorcycle to beat him.
Great editing. I love how the Silverhawks bits at the start fit with the Lazerhawk. Haha.
Forever LazerHawk
SO.... VIOLENT.... it's hypnotic...
Great to see a new Lazerhawk!
Great video. This is insanely well-drawn and animated. Can't believe I've never heard of it.
Man, after watching Megazone 23, this really shows off how much they could have improved the OVAs with some snappy editing and speeding up a few scenes.
Best use of cowbell ever!!!
was that a fucking silver hawks pinball table?
Chad Busch Remember , all the shows in the 80"s were animated over in japan.

With Thundercats bumpers.
now that's some tight customisation
This reminds me "Akira" the film.
this was a few years before akira
not exactly. sure the movie came out in 1988 but the manga is from 1982.

Eerie how this anime tells us a lot about our present and future...
Song fitted the film clip perfectly.
Lazerhawk kicks everybody's ass.
Was this animated by the crew that did Thundercats? The logo is on that pinball machine.
I have truly, deeply, enjoyed this video... Thank you.
Kind of makes you wanna go out there and fight for what you believe in...no matter the cost. #fightforourfuture.
I swear anime got so soft.
i agree with you there
It was always kinda soft. Stuff like this really only existed in Ovas and movies. The majority of TV anime was much tamer.
LOL at the guy getting target fixated and slamming into the wires.
I feel like driving through the streets of downtown Tokyo, blasting Synth Wave music through my car speakers.
That dudes rocket bike turned into a gundam
I AM THE EMBODIMENT OF EVERYTHING THAT IS TOXICITY, I AM TOXIC WASTE!

SilverHawk pinball =D
Du bon, j'ai utilisé ce son pour ma vidéo.
Silverhawks and Thundercats pinballs... those were the days
I was wondering what genre is this kind music
+Arthur Sm
There are a number of names; "synthwave," "outrun," "retro synth," "new retro wave," (after the youtube channel) and a few others I think.
The song has Hi-NRG, Industrial and a bit of Depeche Mode influence with a melody a little creepy. So it could be Darkwave, sounds like songs of She Past Away too.
+Arthur Sm The badass genre
Angel Campos No, trance is another genre, this doesn't sound like trance that is more 90's like music of Tiesto or Armin Van Buuren.
The music video is more outrun but this sounds like vaporwave
Does anyone know where you can view the full anime?
