I went to a yard sale a few years ago and the guy was was selling all his moms stuff ( think hoarder ). I found a bunch of vintage Christmas, including 3 mini Santa mugs. Nothing was priced. He said show me what you have and I’ll give you a price. I was worried because I had a lot of vintage indent ornaments. I about fell over when he said how about $7.00? You have found so many great things!

Everything is so beautiful. Although I don’t celebrate Christmas with a lot of decoration since my husband passed away, I still enjoy watching a vintage home and vintage haul. Absolutely love your home. I am so glad I subscribed.❤love the lipstick on you..very becoming💄
Those red lamp shades are perfect for christmas and/or valentine's day and summer holidays. They can be embellished with ribbon around top/base or tiny ornaments hanging, etc...
oh my gosh, talk about a long forgotten memory. That maple syrup tin house just gave me the biggest flashback to my childhood!

Growing up we had the metal angels and the Noel train. The heat from the candles make the angels move.

Beautiful finds! I'll be looking forward to seeig your house all decorated for Christmas! I typically decorate with more of a natural woodland feel ~ lots of pine stems and wreaths and more wintery looking decor so I can keep it up all winter. My tree will most likely have lots of woodland animals, pinecones, acorns, etc. I usually leave it up most of January ~ sometimes even into February! =) So I typically don't use a lot of red just so I can keep it out longer. I do love to see the typical red and green though. It brings back a lot of memories from my growing up years. =)

Last year’s photos looked gorgeous!! But, I’m so excited to see all the red you use this year. Your home looks like traditional decor will be perfect! The arch sounds like it will be stunning!
I have a collection of ornaments & decorations from my childhood on into adulthood (5 decades), as well as some of my great grandparent’s. So, I tend to go fairly traditional, bordering on Victorian.
I agree with you, I love the separate rooms and think perhaps they may make a come back in new home construction (at least I’m hopeful).

You COULD flip the red shades upside down and put some trees in them...add some moss or branch clippings at the opening....

If I were you on the tall Candlesticks I would put battery Operated Candles with the flame in them they have different sizes on Amazon in them! Looks like thin glass!

Oh yes. I’ve always had homes with individual rooms. Yes, I get very bored. I like each of my guest rooms to be a different period style.
The glass candlesticks would look cool for Halloween, or any party, with a long light stick in them!
Someone suggested fairy lights inside too :)

We had those chimes when my children were small and they loved them. I came across some in a catalog a few years back and bought them each one for their own children.

Yes, the glass candle sticks are oil lamps. You will need to find the small caps that go on top and real oil lamp wikis. ALSO, ONLY USE real lamp oil, NOT Kerosene !!

I love your new finds. I agree with the older style homes. I live in a new build with an open floor plan, but I wish I had it more separated. Hopefully we’ll find something different when we move next time.
I thought separate rooms was going to be a nightmare, but it's not bad at all and we have a monitor set up in their playroom - so we can always keep an eye on them.
Yes I want to see everything! I don't care what season, what order show me what you got. Also if you're definitely going to do a lot of red this season get yourself a can of red spray paint therefore if you find something you love but it's not in your color scheme you can change it,even the little white birdie.

I’ve collected several of the mini Santa mugs through the years. We used one for Santas milk and cookies. Then when my daughter had her son I gave one to her to start her own tradition. 😊 Made me happy I picked up extra…I have two other kids that will get one when they have kids too. Fun to make a new tradition!
Traditions are the best!! It's funny, I see more and more box stores making Santa mugs now.

Loved this video! You found such wonderful treasures. Those Santa mugs were an awesome find. I have only found 3 in the wild at a thrift store for .50 each and my hubby inherited one from his Grandpop. You can show any videos from the summer any time. I will love seeing them.

I put a 7 ft. tall Christmas tree on my front porch with white lights, I live in an old house neighborhood and a lot of us do this. Of course I have to tie it to the porch railing so the wind don't knock it over, but it looks great.🌲🕊 I put bricks on its base too, but you have that bay window.

I have said it before that you have a gorgeous home with lots of character !! I love having reds and golds at Christmas. I actually have similar pillow cases that I use all year round as a have a touch of red throughout my home all year round. I did try for a few Christmas' to have blue as the main colour and the kids and hubby were asking for the red back. Red is a timeless and classic colour. I use velvets too as I do like having an upscale look. I too have lots of wainscoting and I have a little less division than you do in your home and so I totally understand the perks of not having a fully open concept home.

Just love the glass candle sticks. Thought...place fairy lights inside and outside of them???? For me, first tme with a mantel to decorate any ideas? It is only 4 ft long and 6 inches wide. Behind it is a HUGE mirror. Small hearth. GOD BLESS

Love all your treasures. Those tall glass candle things may very well be oil lamps.. but I think they should have fitted tops for the wicks to keep them safe.. Especially since they are so tall and could easily fall over.

I always seem to do some natural themes in one part of the house & then some more whimsical, traditional themes in others - I don’t put up a tree anymore but when I did, I had some bird picks that I had bought one year - probably 20 of them - and no matter what other things I put on the tree, the birds always were there ! So cute ! I really like the tall brass candlesticks - you could probably leave them out all year and I love the glass ones that one viewer said were oil lamps - I’m just wondering if you could maybe do something with fairy lights in them - oil lamps kind of scare me, especially since you have kids ! But I think they’re beautiful just like they are - I would have bought them, too !
