Thank you! I have a few more ideas to put into a video in the future and people are dropping some great ideas in the comments as well, so I hope to be able to make a few more of those :)
I was wondering the same thing but with drones. Although I've never tested the theory I feel like it should be possible. For example could you launch your drones at the opponent and immediately cloaking up. Sure you will be de-cloaked when they are recalled but idk. I'll test it when i have time cool vid btw.
Very interesting. I'll admit I've never gone for the Vorton Projectors or Edencom ships and the randomness of their hitting anything in range does not endear them to me. Surely these things are useless in high-security space? I'd welcome any suggestions myself.
EDENCOM ships in HS do not really have a lot of use. You could tey using them to rat, but you can be easily suspect baited then, and they do not have the dps needed to get rats in single combat really. Only use that is hs adjacent is some higer end abyss fits
@@GildiiAuscent Voltron Projectors are actually quite capable against HS rats. Sure, you lack the DPS of a dedicated gunship, but that's only against single targets. Against multiple targets, the arc effectively multiplies your DPS. Honestly, it's not even funny how quickly Zappi Bois can clear HS anomalies and DED sites. And while they do struggle a bit against tougher mission opponents, quite a few people actually using them even there... Then again, the high price tag and ease of falling to suspects are the main demerits. A sane person shouldn't be using a Zappy Boi in HS just because of Ganks, really. Much less openly fly around doing anomalies in them, attracting any and all opportunists with scram fitted. Heck, I've been guilty of killing Zappy Bois myself, so I can assure you - flying them in HS is a bad idea. But not because they aren't effective at crabbing.
I was always curious how cynos work. I would like to know if they can be killed before ships can jump through it. What are the options we have to be able to defend yourself from it. Haven't found any solid info on that.
Ooooh, that is a good one. It will probably take some time for me to set up something that can jump around and make tests for it, but it is something I can add for sure.
@@GildiiAuscent Cynos can be disrupted indeed - by killing the ship that's conjuring the beacon. This is often used in Null fleet fights, to reduce incoming enemy reinforcements. Then again, dedicated cyno ships can be quite tanky, and they only need to live long enough for the fleet to jump, which can take as little as a couple server ticks. Even as cyno dies, any ship that jumped to it even just 1 tick before, will land on the grid as usual. Even though it might take multiple ticks for anyone to see the actual effect. As for defense - there are only three options. 1) Leave. Easier said than done, if you're already tackled. 2) Kill the cyno ship. Sometimes the CovOps Cynos CAN indeed be killed even Solo quick enough to separate the incoming vessels. You're unlikely to prevent anything from coming through, but if you can isolate a single Black Ops... You might even get a chance for a nice kill. 3) Fight off everything comes through. I don't think I have to explain how that usually turns out.
@@GildiiAuscent Pretty sure it's limited to entities only - ships, drones, missiles, bombs, interdiction probes... Does not apply to deployable structures like mtus, depots, mobile bubble generators. Capital ships are also supposed to be immune to MJD. What I do not know, is whether it applies to cloaked ships, wrecks and containers. Then again, it's likely the same as with missile lock. As long as it's fully cloaked by the server tick, the MJD would probably not boosh the target. And wrecks and jetcans are likely treated as deployables, and can't be moved either.
@@GildiiAuscent Specifically targeting cloakies feels a bit of a waste... But there have been Null camps with zappy bois shooting at an Onix (usually) with RR support, effectively smartbomb camping the gate both ways... Also, pretty sure that Voltrons Projectors only hit Drones, and not missiles, so can't be used to firewall. A few sprinkled within a fleet are a great way to farm pods and green KB entries though, as well as pressuring/distracting enemy logi. Also a great way to get primaried... As for actual firewalling - it's a great little tactic that, sadly, sees much less use nowadays. Then again, it makes sense, with Drakes no longer being the first choice for a fleet comp. Although it's not funny, just how much DPS even a single SB can soak up under the right circumstances...
i love this kind of videos. good job!

Thanks! I am pretty sure that you need to abandon your drones to cloak up
cloaking will act like warping away, meaning drones will be disconnected.
So I remembered correctly

Roxanne is naughty
Lol, now to see if they respond :D
Maybe some testing with the Micro Jump Drive and what items get jumped and which don't?
That is an interesting idea, which deployables and not only could be booshed around

Firewalling 😤😤
If only that, imagine an edencom gatecamp sniping cloaking ships
