    4:39 I believe the lancer corpse collection was removed somewhere between late 2016 through early 2018 - it was after the circadian seekers were added to the NPE (and, later on, the circadian seekers in highsec were renamed to autothysian lancers to distinguish themselves), but either before or at the same time as the introduction of cassandra tyrannos and the drifter reinforcements in high sec. It's hard to know for sure because the change was undocumented.

      Thank you! We kept moving off of gates because of those and one of our corpmates taking a popsicle on fleets, so after a while I decoded to go ahead and check it to be able to answer that once and for all :D

    Great vid, nice to see the scientific method applied to re examine things and separate fact from fiction. I know it's a lot to ask but can you test corpse and antikythera using anything other than a shuttle or corvette? Also what about corpse against blood raiders?

    • @GildiiAuscent
      @GildiiAuscent  Месяц назад

      That would be a good thing to do, having a combat capable ship, I will need to check how they react. As for blood raiders, I think those rats are set to aggress you no matter what

      So, I finally got around to check this. Grabbed a kikimora which they should not like, grabbed a popsicle and the element with me, locked them, got scanned by 2 and nothing, thry dod not really mind. So unless you warp to thr drifter wormholes in jove observatory systems, you are good

    Have you tried testing this same thing with Mining barges or Hauler ships, would be interesting for ships larger than a "frigate" to be "tested".

    • @GildiiAuscent
      @GildiiAuscent  Месяц назад +1

      For alignment? Yes, I tested that on other ships in the past and it is always the exact align time your fitting window tells you. This is why the trick I decribed in a past video with using autopilot to fly whole fleets of similarly aligning ships works well. I just had those ventures as duplicates to show this off

  • @dennisdeal3323
    @dennisdeal3323 Месяц назад +1

    As a new player I was told align, align, align. When I tested it myself. I found that it did do much for me. I was warping off just as quickly when I did not align. I am glad that you have shown that I was right.

    • @GildiiAuscent
      @GildiiAuscent  Месяц назад +1

      I had so many arguments about this mechanic in the past with people making up reasons why this will work that I thought that this will be a perfect thing for a video to prove it once and for all :D

    • @stefanpetrovic927
      @stefanpetrovic927 Месяц назад

      he is wrong when someone tells you 'align' they mean you press a button called that,your ship turns towards the desired destination where you want to go and continues to move towards it (that is how mechanic of button "align"works )so when you press warp or dock you go into warp instant,I'm pretty sure no one told you to press "align" and then stop the ship and then press warp

    • @dennisdeal3323

      @@stefanpetrovic927 I am fairly certain that I do know what I was told. That after landing on grid and start mining I was to align.. Hard to misunderstand that piece of advice.

    • @GildiiAuscent
      @GildiiAuscent  Месяц назад +1

      @@stefanpetrovic927 You would be suprised how many people do believe that aligning and then stopping your ship completely does something for you. People still believe that and will feed that information to new players. Had that argument so many times I decided to include it in the video.

    [request] how drone aggro works, why sometimes NPC target out drones and completely ignore them the other time.

    • @GildiiAuscent
      @GildiiAuscent  Месяц назад

      Hmm, I will need to look into if there is any actual logic behind it, but that is a good shout

    • @Viewable11

      Specific NPCs have differen drone aggro behaviour than other NPCs. Also, CCP changed drone aggro behavior over time. AFAIK, Sleepers are the most aggressive towards drones, but I haven't been shooting at all NPC types yet. My understanding is that the level of AI of the NPC determines the likelyhood of aggr against player's drones: The more intelligent NPCs realize which attacking entity is the gratest threat at prioritize that one.

  • @Sone418
    @Sone418 Месяц назад +1

    Nice to know that lancers do not attack you if you carry a corpse. However I have seen lancers scoop corpses, recently even. I wonder if you scoop the corpse before they get to it, if they will turn hostile then.

    • @GildiiAuscent
      @GildiiAuscent  Месяц назад

      That is interesting, when I dropped one, they did not seem to be interested in it at all, same with the element. As for the picking up when they are going for it, I am not sure, but I would say that probably not, someone else in comments mentioned that it has been years since CCP removed the triggers. Also, picking one corpse up when they go for it is so rare compared to moving triggers in cargo, that I have not thought of that when making the video

    Myth test request:
    Chasing behavior of Sleepers. When and for hoe far and long do Sleepers chase players?

    • @GildiiAuscent
      @GildiiAuscent  6 дней назад

      Sleepers themselves will not chase you, do you mean lancers? They chase you on aggression only, as the video shows that carrying things that used to trigger them does not trigger anymore. As for chasing, they do so till next downtime, that is a known mechanic, but only in system you attack them in

    If your visible ship wasn't accounted for than jump drives wouldn't work. I would need to see the test again with bigger ships like 2 freighters.

      MJD might be the only thing that checks for the direction as it is a direction based module. However, for aligning, what I described works. Having longer or shorter align time does not matter, as long as it is in the same second, it will work as in the video.

      In Eve, stationary aligned makes no difference to just stationary, its just how long a ship takes to get to speed in certain direction, if you start at 0 speed its just the time to accelerate, although the ship visually turns, it moves independent of this "visual" (Source: Me! I have a lot of hours in the game!)
