I like how Sonic is barely fighting Eggman, he even lets him get on his egg mobile to like drive his point home that even when eggy's biggering his machines aren't enough to defeat pure natural skill.

This feels like a very early confrontation for them since it's the CD eggmobile.
Like Sonic is trying one last time to get Robotnik to stop and dissect his own behavior, that way either he stops, or has no one else to blame but himself for what happens afterwords.

In my headcanon, when Sonic first encountered Robotnik in South Island, he spoke to him just like the Lorax: as a guardian of nature, trying to warn the invader that he shouldn't be industrializing the area. However, the Eggman did not want to listen, as he was figuring on biggering, meaning Sonic the Hedgehog had to begin his first great adventure through the zones of Green Hill, Marble, Spring Yard, Labyrinth, Star Light and Eggman's very base of operations, the Scrap Brain, in order to put an end to his plans
(But not for long, as Eggman has returned to take over the world tens of times by now)

I like how unlike the Lorax, Sonic actually fights back. He’s not going to stand around and do nothing while Robotnik recklessly destroys the environment with little to no care of the consequences.
