I had to look more into it and read more details abt it on the shipping wiki and that’s when it started growing on me and made sense to me. The fanart is also SO CUTE also there’s not a lot of rarepairs that get enough love like this one. Its one of my top favorites along with sonadow. I’m very open to sonic ships in general and don’t mind them :D

This is my list, these are my opinions only! :D 5. Tailsmo: I feel almost the exact same way as what was stated in the video! Cosmo and Tails are just such adorable characters, and I love shipping them! 4. Knuxouge: I love this ship so much. Part of it is because my favorite Sonic game (tied with Sonic 2) is Sonic Adventure 2. They just work so well with each other and that shows whenever we see them interact! 3. Shadonia: I can’t say much about this one, but I’ve always been a HUGE fan of Sonic Underground, it was the show that first introduced me with Sonic. Also Shadow and Sonia would just work well with each other! They both have motorcycles and Sonia’s keyboard is also like a gun kind of, so they are pretty similar. I also think that their personalities could contradict in many ways. I just like them aesthetically too! 2. Sonally: I don’t even know where to begin with this one because it’s literally just the perfect ship… Sonic and Sally just work in a perfect way, their personalities contradict each other, and SEGA saying, “Sonic won’t slow down for anyone” just isn’t true. I feel as if Archie Sonic *In most issues* was the BEST Sonic characterization, and he slowed down for Sally. It just shows how much he really cared for her. Good relationships mean compromises and that’s a reason why Sonally works! Sally is more of the brains of the operation and makes sure that everything keeps going slowly, while Sonic is just about making jokes and saving people. Sonic doesn’t normally take time to think, but Sally thinks through her every move! For a while us Sonally fans were REALLY spoiled, but that all ended quickly, and it really saddens me. I mean they got married, had kids, and now it’s just all gone! 1. Sonamy: I used to hate Amy Rose when I was younger, although I have no clue why, I literally just watched one episode of Sonic X and then decided that she sucked. And it’s not even like I was reading about her on the internet and how other people hated her, because I didn’t have access to it! But ever since I stoped hating Amy, I started shipping Sonamy. I mean Amy was literally made to be Sonic’s girlfriend, and if anything I feel like that has become WAY more clear recently. I feel like SEGA is moving into a Sonamy direction and I’m happy about that! Remember the cut dialogue lines from Sonic Frontiers, those definitely meant something! Also in the Twitter Takeover, Sonic is definitely jealous of Shadow for getting to spend alone time with Amy. Sonic and Amy are my favorite Sonic characters and I love shipping them. There was actually a point in my life where I was completely out of the Sonic Fandom, but I only got back in it because of Sonamy comic dubs, so I really do love this ship! I used to be a Sonadow shipper but that lasted for like a month after my obsession and crush on Shadow 😂 Your list was also cool! I respect all ships! :D

I am a fan of all ships involving Sonic, but my most favourite ships in the Sonic franchise are Sonic and Amy, Tails and Cream, Knuckles and Julie-Su, Knuckles and Rouge, Sonic and Princess Peach, Eggman and Vanilla, Sonic and Elise and, last but not least, Shadow and Maria. In my headcanon, Cream is the daughter of Vanilla and Eggman.
i'm curious as to the backstory of sonic and peach. like is there some crossover where they at all interact that i don't know about? or is it just a crossover ship you randomly came up with? also yeah shadow x maria lives rent free in my head (even tho i also ship sonadow)
I know SEGA themselves prefer Silvaze, but I LOVE Sonaze. The whole character arc of Blaze becoming a better person and learning to be true to herself because of Sonic’s attitude and the lessons he imparts on her is really sweet, and the way that in the extra zone of Sonic rush, Sonic teaches Blaze about how the power of friendship is all that is needed to restore the Sol Emeralds- Kinda like what Tikal taught him in the secret ending to SA1. Literally the whole ship has adorable character progression throughout. And the really tragic moment in the ending cutscene of the extra zone when they were both clinging on to one another but were ripped apart and sent back to their respective worlds. And how Blaze’s monologue at the end is just about the lessons she learned throughout their time together. And then the wholesome reunion when Blaze sees sonic again in Rush Adventure, and they team up once more to fight Captain Whisker. They have this whole enemies to lov- *ahem* friends arc in the beginning of rush. Upright Char X Carefree Char shenanigans at play here too. With the best part is how they are literally alternate universe counterparts of one another- which is reflected in the slight gameplay changes between them. And now to trash talk Silvaze. Silvaze was introduced when 06’s writing fell to crap and they just needed a character to accompany Silver. So they roped in Blaze outta nowhere. Then there is no real meaningful dialogue AT ALL between Silver and Blaze. Her whole character shift was not a result of him, but of Sonic’s influence. And the decision to sacrifice herself in the name of friendship wasn’t because of how much she cared about silver, but because she thought it was the right thing to do. Basically like how Sonic risked his life to go Super with fake Emeralds for his friends in SA2. 06 makes Blaze follow along with no real reason then Fucking Kills her. Oh, she doesn’t really die but their memories are erased anyway so who cares. The past and future thing is all they got going, and it’s still not as cool as the multiversal counterparts schtick. Sonaze>Silvaze.
I have a whole book written explaining how Sonaze could be perfect ship for a canon, and how Silvaze is just a *OVERRATED* shit, and how I *hate it* when people say that Silvaze is one of the best ships in whole franchise.

My Top Ships: 5. Sonjet: I love the comedic potential between them. I love Jet's overcompensating personality and it and his insanely competitive nature would make a lot of funny situations. Sonic is also competitive, which would bounce off of Jet's personality, but would provide a bit more snark and grounding (no pun intended for the bird, haha). My favorite situation is them fighting over who gets to pay the restaurant bill. 4. Sonamy: Grew to like them more and more over the years. Also just watched Casual Sonamy on youtube, and it was adorable. 3. Sonurge: I know this is a proship for many people, so let me explain. Surge has an identity crisis in the comic since, because of Starline, her life was never her own. A huge part of this is Starline's programming of her hatred for Sonic, which results in her not being able to find a sense of freedom while he is still alive. I had an idea where, what if when Surge becomes a part of Clutch's plan and infiltrates Restoration HQ, she starts to develop genuine connections with Sonic and his friends? She would start to build a life of her own there and this would be when she would start to develop feelings for Sonic. This would start an internal conflict within her where she has an internal sense to kill Sonic, but she also genuinely cares about him. This would all cluminate with her going against Clutch's plan at the last minute because she she cannot bring herself to harm the people that she loves there, and ruin her relationship with Sonic. In addition, this relationship would empower her because she would finally build a sense of being in control of her emotions if she has to overcome Starline's programming to go along with it. 2. Knuxouge: Again, love the comedic potential. 1. Whispangle: This is my comfort ship. Love the wholesomeness between these two.
Great ship! I think that if it weren't for Shadow, id probably ship Sonic and Blaze! I love how they're parallels to each other yet are opposites. That juxtaposition of personalities is very interesting. And they have a very good chemistry, too! Very good ship!

I'm not really an avid shipper, but seeing shipping art a lot! I prefer Silvaze over Silvespio, but both are pretty fun because Silver's naivety is a fun contrast to both of them. Knuxouge is basically canon at this point lol I'm still not sure if it's healthy or not, but it's hilarious. Surgamy is just a fun role reversal XD Ironically I feel like Sonic would support that Ship RIP Cosmo I feel like Sonadow wouldn't really work as an actual relationship, but I could imagine Sonic endlessly teasing Shadow about it. The few Sonadow panels in IDW really sell that feeling to me XD If I had to pick a favourite ship, I'd probably be a boring one like Vectilla or Whispangle, though I did see some cute art of Barry and the Forces Avatar recently...

also about espilver/silvespio they have interacted before idw as well they had a whole story together in sonic rivals 2 in 2007 (where they first met) which is also where a lot of shippers came from lolz and they also shared some dialogue in forces too and silver was shown fighting alongside the chaotix in the final battle cutscene the gays have taken over my brain oh no 😭

One ship that I like within the Sonic fandom is Blazamy (Blaze and Amy) for one reason: unlike most ships like Sonic x Shadow or Sonic x Jet, Blazamy is one I can see working because.... Amy might actually like Blaze. In a Sonic Channel comic titled Burning Beauty, Tails, Cream, Marine, and Amy try to convince Blaze to use her powers to help them. When she finally gives in, everyone looks on in awe, but Amy is straight up blushing and has a heart above her head. Of course, this is all my opinion.

It's difficult for me to pick favorites, but for Sonic I've found a number one after shipping Sonamy and Sonadow: *Metonic* At first I just wanted to check their Ao3 tag cuz it sounded funny, but then I saw there were over 100 fics I read one and never looked back The fic "Iron Oxide" changed my brain chemistry forever, not to mention it was what actually started to give this ship more presence online. It's a masterpiece honestly! There's so many things about them I love: Enemies to lovers, look similar yet are opposites (Sonic - full of life, round and soft, kind and chatty; Metal - Still and cold, angular and shiny, serious and direct), Metal growing to have his own independence while Sonic supports him, and just the whole irony of Sonic falling for a robot that tried to kill him and becoming in laws with Eggman XDDD Did I even mention the 1996 OVA? What happened to Metal made me cry as a kid
I had a weird ass dream last night, so Eggman was using the energy from the time eater to over power sonic and friends, and Eggman was using a card board cut out of paper peach in a wedding dress with his new AI attached to it, as his new assistant during the attack which was at the top of his huge machine beside him, and when it began to flirt with Amy as a means to distract her, and Eggman captured everyone then the AI continued to flirt with Amy as she fell in love with it, then the time eater appeared took back it's energy while also powering up the AI, and it began to destroy everything, then sonic decided to go dark sonic from sonic x and began to beat the AI, then Amy finished off the AI while sonic was distracted by an illusion of infinite, then after Amy said she fell in love with the cardboard cut out as a rebound, I was so damn confused, but it's most likely because i didn't go to sleep for two days
first,shadow's eyelids are not completely red...he just has a little red line at the corner of his eye...(just trying to tell you) and second: I LOVE SONADOW SOO MUCHH!!...Shadow is my favorite character, when I first watched the Sonic movie, (Sonic Prime) I saw lots of scenes of Sonic and Shadow together...I started asking, "Is there a ship about the two of them ?". Then I accidentally saw a short video about the ship, I was shocked, but tried to keep quiet because if my mother saw that, I wouldn't be able to watch Sonic anymore..😭 (that's because my mother thought that the ship came from SEGA studio, but it is not) but, thank God my mother never found out about that ship, I was very happy when I saw your video! I love and ship Tangle x Whisper or Whispangle! It's the most cutest things ever! Like clearly have a thing for each other. There was a lot of times that they were blushing a lot if you really paid attention. And I feel like they're a perfect fit for each other. Tangle bring out more of Whisper shy personality and help out working for her trauma and for Whisper making Tangle more focused on certain things. And there was sometimes that they were hugging and touching and blushing. And there was even a moment that Whisper's tail wagged a bit. I know that it aint perfect but this is certainly healthy and very lovely and wholesome. And that's why I love to ship so much just to see these two grow and become something beautiful. And there was another moment that they were holding hands and behind them was the colors of the pride flag. And I can name many more moments that they were a lovely towards each other a lot. I mean I wish they can just kiss already and be girlfriends and get married and stuff. And there's like so much to talk about that I cannot contain myself anymore longer. These who are just beautiful and sweet and really just brightens my day. And I use this as a comfort ship for myself. I'm not necessarily a diehard Sonadow fan since I just don't see the creators actually making it canon, but who knows? Maybe one day, we'll finally get the gay rats in canon form (Besides prime, those mfs were arguing like a married couple 😭) and all the sonadow fankids will finally get the recognition they deserve.... 4. Knuxouge: I love this ship so much. Part of it is because my favorite Sonic game (tied with Sonic 2) is Sonic Adventure 2. They just work so well with each other and that shows whenever we see them interact!
3. Shadonia: I can’t say much about this one, but I’ve always been a HUGE fan of Sonic Underground, it was the show that first introduced me with Sonic. Also Shadow and Sonia would just work well with each other! They both have motorcycles and Sonia’s keyboard is also like a gun kind of, so they are pretty similar. I also think that their personalities could contradict in many ways. I just like them aesthetically too!
2. Sonally: I don’t even know where to begin with this one because it’s literally just the perfect ship… Sonic and Sally just work in a perfect way, their personalities contradict each other, and SEGA saying, “Sonic won’t slow down for anyone” just isn’t true. I feel as if Archie Sonic *In most issues* was the BEST Sonic characterization, and he slowed down for Sally. It just shows how much he really cared for her. Good relationships mean compromises and that’s a reason why Sonally works! Sally is more of the brains of the operation and makes sure that everything keeps going slowly, while Sonic is just about making jokes and saving people. Sonic doesn’t normally take time to think, but Sally thinks through her every move! For a while us Sonally fans were REALLY spoiled, but that all ended quickly, and it really saddens me. I mean they got married, had kids, and now it’s just all gone!
1. Sonamy: I used to hate Amy Rose when I was younger, although I have no clue why, I literally just watched one episode of Sonic X and then decided that she sucked. And it’s not even like I was reading about her on the internet and how other people hated her, because I didn’t have access to it! But ever since I stoped hating Amy, I started shipping Sonamy. I mean Amy was literally made to be Sonic’s girlfriend, and if anything I feel like that has become WAY more clear recently. I feel like SEGA is moving into a Sonamy direction and I’m happy about that! Remember the cut dialogue lines from Sonic Frontiers, those definitely meant something! Also in the Twitter Takeover, Sonic is definitely jealous of Shadow for getting to spend alone time with Amy. Sonic and Amy are my favorite Sonic characters and I love shipping them. There was actually a point in my life where I was completely out of the Sonic Fandom, but I only got back in it because of Sonamy comic dubs, so I really do love this ship!

I know SEGA themselves prefer Silvaze, but I LOVE Sonaze. The whole character arc of Blaze becoming a better person and learning to be true to herself because of Sonic’s attitude and the lessons he imparts on her is really sweet, and the way that in the extra zone of Sonic rush, Sonic teaches Blaze about how the power of friendship is all that is needed to restore the Sol Emeralds- Kinda like what Tikal taught him in the secret ending to SA1. Literally the whole ship has adorable character progression throughout. And the really tragic moment in the ending cutscene of the extra zone when they were both clinging on to one another but were ripped apart and sent back to their respective worlds. And how Blaze’s monologue at the end is just about the lessons she learned throughout their time together. And then the wholesome reunion when Blaze sees sonic again in Rush Adventure, and they team up once more to fight Captain Whisker. They have this whole enemies to lov- *ahem* friends arc in the beginning of rush. Upright Char X Carefree Char shenanigans at play here too. With the best part is how they are literally alternate universe counterparts of one another- which is reflected in the slight gameplay changes between them.
And now to trash talk Silvaze. Silvaze was introduced when 06’s writing fell to crap and they just needed a character to accompany Silver. So they roped in Blaze outta nowhere. Then there is no real meaningful dialogue AT ALL between Silver and Blaze. Her whole character shift was not a result of him, but of Sonic’s influence. And the decision to sacrifice herself in the name of friendship wasn’t because of how much she cared about silver, but because she thought it was the right thing to do. Basically like how Sonic risked his life to go Super with fake Emeralds for his friends in SA2. 06 makes Blaze follow along with no real reason then Fucking Kills her. Oh, she doesn’t really die but their memories are erased anyway so who cares. The past and future thing is all they got going, and it’s still not as cool as the multiversal counterparts schtick. Sonaze>Silvaze.
My Fave ship is still Sonadow because of how well it fits, but I will defend Sonaze to the death being a Rush Trilogy Stan

5. Sonjet: I love the comedic potential between them. I love Jet's overcompensating personality and it and his insanely competitive nature would make a lot of funny situations. Sonic is also competitive, which would bounce off of Jet's personality, but would provide a bit more snark and grounding (no pun intended for the bird, haha). My favorite situation is them fighting over who gets to pay the restaurant bill.
4. Sonamy: Grew to like them more and more over the years. Also just watched Casual Sonamy on youtube, and it was adorable.
3. Sonurge: I know this is a proship for many people, so let me explain. Surge has an identity crisis in the comic since, because of Starline, her life was never her own. A huge part of this is Starline's programming of her hatred for Sonic, which results in her not being able to find a sense of freedom while he is still alive. I had an idea where, what if when Surge becomes a part of Clutch's plan and infiltrates Restoration HQ, she starts to develop genuine connections with Sonic and his friends? She would start to build a life of her own there and this would be when she would start to develop feelings for Sonic. This would start an internal conflict within her where she has an internal sense to kill Sonic, but she also genuinely cares about him. This would all cluminate with her going against Clutch's plan at the last minute because she she cannot bring herself to harm the people that she loves there, and ruin her relationship with Sonic. In addition, this relationship would empower her because she would finally build a sense of being in control of her emotions if she has to overcome Starline's programming to go along with it.
2. Knuxouge: Again, love the comedic potential.
1. Whispangle: This is my comfort ship. Love the wholesomeness between these two.

One ship that I like within the Sonic fandom is Blazamy (Blaze and Amy) for one reason: unlike most ships like Sonic x Shadow or Sonic x Jet, Blazamy is one I can see working because.... Amy might actually like Blaze.
In a Sonic Channel comic titled Burning Beauty, Tails, Cream, Marine, and Amy try to convince Blaze to use her powers to help them. When she finally gives in, everyone looks on in awe, but Amy is straight up blushing and has a heart above her head.

There's so many things about them I love: Enemies to lovers, look similar yet are opposites (Sonic - full of life, round and soft, kind and chatty; Metal - Still and cold, angular and shiny, serious and direct), Metal growing to have his own independence while Sonic supports him, and just the whole irony of Sonic falling for a robot that tried to kill him and becoming in laws with Eggman XDDD

I had a weird ass dream last night, so Eggman was using the energy from the time eater to over power sonic and friends, and Eggman was using a card board cut out of paper peach in a wedding dress with his new AI attached to it, as his new assistant during the attack which was at the top of his huge machine beside him, and when it began to flirt with Amy as a means to distract her, and Eggman captured everyone then the AI continued to flirt with Amy as she fell in love with it, then the time eater appeared took back it's energy while also powering up the AI, and it began to destroy everything, then sonic decided to go dark sonic from sonic x and began to beat the AI, then Amy finished off the AI while sonic was distracted by an illusion of infinite, then after Amy said she fell in love with the cardboard cut out as a rebound, I was so damn confused, but it's most likely because i didn't go to sleep for two days

I love and ship Tangle x Whisper or Whispangle! It's the most cutest things ever! Like clearly have a thing for each other. There was a lot of times that they were blushing a lot if you really paid attention. And I feel like they're a perfect fit for each other. Tangle bring out more of Whisper shy personality and help out working for her trauma and for Whisper making Tangle more focused on certain things. And there was sometimes that they were hugging and touching and blushing. And there was even a moment that Whisper's tail wagged a bit. I know that it aint perfect but this is certainly healthy and very lovely and wholesome. And that's why I love to ship so much just to see these two grow and become something beautiful. And there was another moment that they were holding hands and behind them was the colors of the pride flag. And I can name many more moments that they were a lovely towards each other a lot. I mean I wish they can just kiss already and be girlfriends and get married and stuff. And there's like so much to talk about that I cannot contain myself anymore longer. These who are just beautiful and sweet and really just brightens my day. And I use this as a comfort ship for myself. Pioneering Spirit (formerly Pieter Schelte) is a catamaran crane vessel owned by the Switzerland-based Allseas Group designed for the single-lift installation and removal of large oil and gas platforms and the installation of record-weight pipelines.[4][2] The 382-metre-long (1,253 ft), 124-metre-wide (407 ft) vessel is the world's largest vessel by gross tonnage, the heaviest vehicle ever made and since September 2021 also the largest floating sheerleg in the world.[6] It was built in South Korea by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (now Hanwha Ocean) in 2013 at a cost of €2.6 billion. Fun fact!: its actually confirmed by saga them selves that sonic does like amy back! But sonic is not one to get in a "date" like relationship with her.. if you know what i mean. I'm not necessarily a diehard Sonadow fan since I just don't see the creators actually making it canon, but who knows? Maybe one day, we'll finally get the gay rats in canon form (Besides prime, those mfs were arguing like a married couple 😭) and all the sonadow fankids will finally get the recognition they deserve.... Oh and maybe Blazamy or Surgamy if they ever bring Surge into game canon while they're at it, they all need somebody 😭
