With Diana, you not only get a song, you get a whole show. Her performance skills are amazing. Excellent reaction as usual! She was 15 years old when she performed this song! In addition to the unique voice, Diana has an exceptional stage presence. And I agree with you...the Russians (and the Chinese) have the ability to produce sets that are out of this world...the West could learn quit a bit from them. She had already won the contest and this was a final song by Diana for the judges...no voting necessary.

Hi Saul. She is a talented young lady with a great future in music ahead of her. I love the strange deep tone she has in her voice and somewhere on the net, I saw that you can mimic her lower register voice by singing with your tongue positioned on the roof of your mouth, try it, it works lol. Also, did you notice that Igor Krotoy is one of the judges. He has been doing lots of work with Dimash for the last year or so and is the music composer of his song ‘Your love’ amongst other songs Dimash has sung. All the best from the U.K. 😘❤️

One of the judges asked her who was responsible for the staging and song arrangement, she said it was a collaboration between her teacher and herself, a truly talented young woman with a huge future.
Great reaction Soul! The one thing everyone says about Diana's voice is that it is unique. That subtle almost brassy resonate sound that seems to trail those open throaty sounds. My theory is that is that she is using a very subtle form of polyphonic overtone singing or throat singing. Remember that Diana grew up in far east Russia near Mongolia and China, so she will have that 'sound of the silk road'. Not all throat singing sound like Tibetans or Mongolians. Diana's songs offer up more of themselves with each listening and never get old. A bit like reading and re-reading a Mahayana Sutra; it just gets richer and deeper and elevates your consciousness higher and higher!
I read that Igor not only mentors Dimash. Igor was so impressed by Diana that he helped financially and got her set up in an apartment in Moscow to help her career opportunities. Igor is true gentlemen.

I watched a video that actually had good subtitles so I can understand what was being said and she said that human was the easy song for her cuz it's closer to her actual vocals and that the judges or the program was the one that picked the songs for her and then she had to make them are own and preform the songs.

A Russian Talent show for people who did not make it onto bigger talent show because of age or hard lives due to ??.... To this is called "you are Super" gives them a shot at making it so many stories out there about her birth mother not going to try to get right one for you tonight....She was then adopted, and her stepmother noticed she had a speech problem took her to doctor who said Music would help her with that, and after many lessons you have this wonderful talented Diana of and side note She Won and Igor Krutoy....she is a contralto or mezzo-soprano voice which range generally extending from around G3 to D5 or E5,.....and Last I knew she has extended that a bit his Understudy (not sure) 15 yrs old here
I notice a change in her mannerisms an especially her eyes when she goes into that deep thick voice..it truly does seem like she has been possessed, that darkness comes out and is recognizable at times. Look up her childhood, her past. She had a bad one....

She doesn't only sing in the lower registers - have a look at some of her other songs. She and Angelina Jordan are often compared but, while the latter has a very, very good voice, she just doesn't have the stage presence Diana has because Diana doesn't 'sing' the song - she IS the song!

Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman, who gave her birth, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not want Diana either, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the girl with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Only then did she find love ... from Irina Ponik. She worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana and took her out of the orphanage and Irina became, as I call it, Diana's 'real mother'. Irina had two children of her own. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for her ... but she adopted Diana at the age of 5. Diana has lived in a poor but loving family ever since. Since she was lagging in her speech development and even stuttered, she received singing lessons on the advice of a doctor.
In 2012, the family moved thousands of kilometers away, to Togliatti, because Diana did not let go of the fear, that the woman, who gave her birth, would take her away.
Diana's voice and sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a child and she won over 50 competitions in Togliatti and the surrounding area. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop, and Diana's stage costumes swallowed up the family budget. So, her mother completed a sewing course and has been sewing all the clothes herself since then.
One day Diana was advised to take part in competitions further away, so that the other children also had a chance to win.
Diana convinced with her talent and her voice in numerous national and international competitions, the Chinese competition for young artists and the competition 'Talents of Wolgaland'. She is a multiple winner of the Grand Prix of all-Russian and international singing competitions.
2011 - Gold medal in the competition for young artists in China
2014 - silver vote in the all-Russian competition 'Talents of the Volga'
2016 - Grand Prix at the international 'Crystal Gift' competition
2017 - Gold Medal at the All-Russian Youth Delphic Games
2017 - Grand Prix of the Moscow Time Festival
2017 - I have a Laureate Diploma in the 'ART PREMIUMPEOPLE AWARDS'.

To the general surprise, none of the judges turned around but the whole audience gave 'standing ovation'. The next day, a huge scandal broke out on the Internet. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition.
In 2018 and 2019, a unique international competition 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children, was launched in Moscow, which Diana won. The competition consists of several qualifying rounds. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to RUclips and made Diana known worldwide. She now has any Millions of fans all over the world. Her russian fans chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title).

In the Kremlin Palace takes place the final of the international singing competition for children 'You are super!'. The winner of the season is determined by a 6-day viewer vote, in which not only Russians, but also residents of the CIS countries take part, all viewers of the TV show. By 11 participating countries also will be selected from the finalists the names of the participants in the “Children's New Wave”, the “Junior Eurovision”. The winner of the audience award in 2018 at the “Children's New Wave” festival became Diana.
Igor Krutoi, mentor and jury member of the competition, gave her an apartment in Moscow so that she could continue her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskaya (videos on RUclips).
The change of voice made her voice darker and deeper. She worked hard to get the lost high notes back and expand her vocal range. She is about to graduate from school and wants to start university. She also wants to learn to compose and arrange her own songs. Her fans gifted her a home studio and so she is currently (Corona time) experimenting a lot with different music genres and performing on both large and small stages.

I love her voice, and her unique presentation. Brings to mind Dead Can Dance's "The Host of Seraphim" (about 2/3 of the way through), or "Persephone." Lisa Gerrard has been kicking vocal [backside] for decades. I'm so glad that younger ladies have broken through the confines of old-school music business to make musical art.

Hi Saul. She is a talented young lady with a great future in music ahead of her. I love the strange deep tone she has in her voice and somewhere on the net, I saw that you can mimic her lower register voice by singing with your tongue positioned on the roof of your mouth, try it, it works lol. Also, did you notice that Igor Krotoy is one of the judges. He has been doing lots of work with Dimash for the last year or so and is the music composer of his song ‘Your love’ amongst other songs Dimash has sung. All the best from the U.K. 😘❤️

Great reaction Soul! The one thing everyone says about Diana's voice is that it is unique. That subtle almost brassy resonate sound that seems to trail those open throaty sounds. My theory is that is that she is using a very subtle form of polyphonic overtone singing or throat singing. Remember that Diana grew up in far east Russia near Mongolia and China, so she will have that 'sound of the silk road'. Not all throat singing sound like Tibetans or Mongolians. Diana's songs offer up more of themselves with each listening and never get old. I read that Igor not only mentors Dimash. Igor was so impressed by Diana that he helped financially and got her set up in an apartment in Moscow to help her career opportunities. Igor is true gentlemen.

I watched a video that actually had good subtitles so I can understand what was being said and she said that human was the easy song for her cuz it's closer to her actual vocals and that the judges or the program was the one that picked the songs for her and then she had to make them are own and preform the songs.

I notice a change in her mannerisms an especially her eyes when she goes into that deep thick voice..it truly does seem like she has been possessed, that darkness comes out and is recognizable at times.

She doesn't only sing in the lower registers - have a look at some of her other songs.
She and Angelina Jordan are often compared but, while the latter has a very, very good voice, she just doesn't have the stage presence Diana has because Diana doesn't 'sing' the song - she IS the song!
