    20 gauge bore brushes work great for cleaning out those holes.
    I keep 12, 20 and 28 gauge ones in my box

    Installed mine today (twin cam UL). Shipping was super fast and install was pretty easy. Didn’t slide in by hand even after cleaning the bore with sand paper, but was able to press it in with the puller bolt. Zero play in the shifter and operates very smooth. Love it.

    I ordered the "bushing " and puller for my 2012 FLHTK less than a week ago. It arrived today and I installed it in less than a half hour!. I did have to put some force on the wrench on the puller, and it really made a loud snap noise when the inner bushing 1st moved. 😮😮
    Now the shifter is nice and tight.
    Awesome product, and the puller was worth the $. I don't like pounding out bushings, bearings or races.
    Easy process especially once the inner bushing starts to move, the outer took much less force.

    How would you know if its the shifter shaft bushing or the shaft itself? Thank you

    Do you think that this problem could be a reason for having a hard time finding neutral ??

    • @crashemt32
      @crashemt32  Год назад

      Just saw this, but yes, it should help that problem. Any time you have slop in a shifter it will make finding neutral difficult.

    You should make a fitment for twin cam Softails. It feels like my shifter has an 1/8th inch of slop back and forth. Thanks, looks good!

      The next time we get one in the shop I will look at it👍🏻 In fact if you are close by, one of you could drop off your bike and we could use it to prototype it.
