I wish video technology like this existed back when I was in HS drumline/marching band (mid-late 90's). I'm lucky to have some grainy VHS recordings converted for youtube by some folks over the years. Best times of my life. Great job, awesome show!
6:10 It took me all season, but I finally figured out what percussion is doing there along with the narration…HOLY COW, mind blowing David Dockery - Willy Wonka stuff…no wonder you guys won high perc!!!
@@bryanp9878 it’s kinda hard to pick out in this vid because you hear mostly snares bc they’re in front of mic. If you find any of the finals performances you can hear the whole line balanced w the narration. Then look up David Dockery - Willy Wonka you’ll see what I mean…next level stuff for sure!
It mainly came down to consistency I think. Boston and SCV were doing amazing stuff. But Boston had major (within the context of World Class levels of detail) timing tears, dirted out rolls, and messy attacks during finals. Bluecoats played tons of insane notes, but it was well within the skill level of the performers, and the members performed as close to perfect as I’ve seen a Drumline play at finals in quite some time
This is up there when it comes to Coats On Field Battery Cams. Camera work is phenomenal!
I was gonna comment the same. This camerawork is phenomenal. This is what it feels like to make it to finals!
Same. This camera work is excellent. One of the best on-fields I've ever seen.
after watching this show a few times i think this was honestly the most enjoyable show this year. There's never really a dull moment anywhere
Congrats to Bloo and Roger Carter for winning High Percussion tonight!!!
Don’t forget Tom Rarrick
This is one of the greatest on-field cams I’ve ever seen. Props to the camera wielding masters that shot and edited this!
2012 and 2022: No better way to bookend that decade than with two undeniable on-field videos
I am always amazed at the speed at which these young people traverse the field!! Lots of dedication and practice!! Well done!
10/10 Camera work, Felt so immersed, The framing too holy cow!
And
Correct me if I’m wrong they are now the first Sanford winning BLOO BANGERS!
YuuUUUPPP! Those are some Bloo Bangers right there. The best drumline in the world right now, you might even say.
This ended up being my favorite show of the season and the more of this kind of stuff I see, the more I love it.
i seen this video so many times and every time i watch it, it amazes me
Absolutely fantastic camera work!!! (The corps is great too!!!!LOL)
Connor wins best continuous one shot in the history of cinema
Connor is the run through cameraman GOAT. 🙌
I watch the full video cuz its so beautiful thanks rob for the video!
Presenting the award winning, 2022 Bluecoats Drumline. Congrats 🎊!! Well deserved.
Someday Greg is gonna be running around in a green shirt.
Or the percussion caption head of a top 12 drum corps…. 👀
So some of these guys have won WGI gold and then the Fred Sanford in DCI all in the same year. Amazing.
freaking great video. thanks for posting.

Outstanding camera work. 👍
I'd love to see every drumline from this perspective.
The phone or camera used for this has fantastic shake stability on it!! 😯😯
CONGRATS BLOOOOOO on winning the Sanford 🙌🏾🙌🏾
gotta love when a tech knows the drill so good this quality of video can be produced.
This was phenomenal!
That quad ostinato @9:58 is some tasty writing

Reminds me of Dark Sky 2018. Except it was just only quads playing to the narration.

Good lord, the subtlety and musicality. And, jeez, they are hauling ass in the drill. Coats really upped their game in marching demand this year.
Best Bluecoats content!!
IN-FREAKING-CREDIBLE!
Such a fun show🎙
WOW! Just wow!
Beautiful show #bloo22 have fun tonight!!!
Win or lose bloo will be the best
the camera movement at 5:40 is awesome
Too good
as a hornline kid, i usually lose interest in on-field battery cams. but these folks had my attention the whole time. congrats on the sanford!
I have watched this so many times😅😂
I enjoyed the part where they hit the drum

I hope people appreciate the environmental demand here. And I’m sure that was cleaner on the field at Finals. 5:38 - 5:58
Imma need someone to transcribe the tenor feature at about 8:03

Champs
Far from my favorite line this year, but them winning was so nice if for anything just to see the meltdown from Boston fanboys.
still think finals judges were on crack tonight but oh well.
