Brilliant. What a wonderful talented and humble man he was. Got most of his albums.

A recent comment I see! Just stumbled upon this video after a John martyn binge. My dad introduced him to me when I was 14, and the past 2 years since I discovered him have been crucial for me musically. He is a true legend. My number one songwriting influence. I played with my band in one of the clubs he played at in Richmond upon Thames, (he played there in 1972, the year my dad was born). am planning to go to Hampstead Heath to visit the area where he used to frequent, and also to recreate the famous photo of nick drake from Hampstead Heath. (The one with the dog)

Wow this is fantastic Glenn. I'm from New York, been living in London for a couple years, and have spent a lot of time in Hastings, and at the Nelson. I never knew John Martyn hung out there until now. Makes me love that pub even more.

Thanks for posting, What fun was this (and for a good local cause)! After seeing John push this fellow in the wheelchair I can hear him say, "Gonna end up just like 'im" ...and it took how long after he said this? About 14 years? Gone too young and too soon. ❤☮🌎

The way John looks at the sax player. Clearly annoyed at the solos. It's really funny. Looks like he would like to slap him.

There’s something about the way he strides through the door of the pub. Like he owns the place.
