My dad works on Oman air to ensure the safety of every aircraft you ride on and I really really love this video
I travelled with Oman air many times to Thailand. Great service. Only one issue was a drunk passenger but now that's dealt with and got an apology from Oman air.

Bruh,Oman air’s buisness class us perfect,why is it underatted?
Most underrated airline. I agree. I have been flying for the past 40 years. The last 10-15 years I have been flying business class. On 20.12.19 I flew MCT-MNL via flt WY0843. I was witness to the BEST service rendered by any steward compared to any I have experienced on any other airline. Seated on seat 14B, the lovely person gave her best to EVERY passenger in that aisle, giving her attention without being asked. This, I noticed, kept her on her feet for the most part of the 9 hour (?) journey. I have come across many good, and not so good attitude by some in the past on other airlines, THIS attentive was THE BEST. It serves Oman Air well to have dedicated, hardworking staff such as her, without showing any signs of irritation.
I have tried KLM, British airways, emirates,Fin air and Etihad. All economy. All long haul flights. Have to personally say Emirates is numer one. But the customer service on Etihad was excellent. Worst I'd say was Fin air purely because of the customer service was lacking. Others was about on par, Excited to try oman and Qatar airways.

I have been flew with Oman Air and the service is great, cabin crew were friendly, the food was is OK, but the toilet in the terminal building is should be clean , neat and tidy. Overall it's was fantastic experience. Looking forward to see you

I got to admit this is very nostalgic too as I have a similar story and haven’t flown to Oman or with Oman in a while
I travelled it in last here. Really liked the flight. I went from Toronto (Air Canada) - London - Muscat - Karachi and back after a few weeks. Actually from Muscat - London got an upgrade on Business Class. Really enjoyed it.
Maybe this won't happen in business class, but still a warning to everyone flying with Oman Air. Yesterday, we were returning from Doha on Oman Air when the people in the row in front of us took my backpack that was on the floor under the seat in front, a common place to put a bag when flying. They took the bag, went through it and found my travel wallet, and took the money from the wallet.
Their problem was - I caught them red-handed and their game was up, so I didn't not lose anything. This was only a 1 hour flight so I wasn't sleeping, however I imagine on a longer flight and if I were sleeping, the backpack would have made it's way back to my footwell and I'd never have known what happened until sometime later.
I obviously did everything by the book to ensure the flight attendants knew, the cabin crew manager knew, and they said that when the plane landed security would be waiting. Unfortunately at the end of the flight the crew tried to convince me to forget it and not let it impact my journey. I refused to allow that, as these criminals have likely done this before, would do it again, and that would be the wrong thing to do so I requested the security or police are called. They agreed to this, however then disgustingly let these people leave as we saw them 5 minutes later walking in the terminal as if nothing had happened. So Oman Air clearly is an airline that have no consideration for customer safety and security.
They gave me a free upgrade to business class for being polite .. after that i was hoooked ...

Excellent video, but something intrigued me. How come many windows were closed as you boarded? I thought its practice off all airlines to keep them open while on ground?
Thanks! As it is so warm, about 45 degrees Celsius, in Oman, they have to keep the windows closed as long as possible so that it's not getting too warm in the cabin.
@@flightexperience_official Yes correct to keep the hot ambient temperatures out particularly during the hot summer season. But according to my information all windows with visors lowered will be raised up for a clear outside view as the Aircraft is prepared to be pushed back away from the Terminal Building Link Air Bridge once detached and to begin engines starting followed by taxing towards the active Runway for take off . The raising of all the Visors is a must and it is a routine Airline Operational Procedures and part of the Civil Aviation Directive . Nothing strange to find the Window Visors down .

For me the 2-4-2 economy seating on the A330 always beats the 3-3-3 configuration of the B787.

@@flightexperience_official Depends on your taste, route and airline. If leaving from the airlines homebase (->usually more fresh) KSML is a good option especially for flights >8h because in many cases airlnes don't have KSML snacks thus you will get a full second meal. Downside is it might be the same twice (but I had very good ones).
Otherwise HNML - if you like spicy or SFML because that's a very common option as well (Aeromexico offers it but not HNML for geographic reasons I guess).
Only the A330 comes with this legroom and seat configuration. All the other fleet is more than standart and feels very cramped. Dont overrate this airline neither because of one airplanetyp they have. Economy seating is always better on Airbus than on Boeing especially on A330 and A380. The newer Boeings 777 and 787 are a joke in economy never the less the airline. Even the Qatar 777 is not comfortable.
@@ingogrimm7616 Sure, I pretty much agree. I experienced Oman's B787 and did not enjoy it.
There is just only exceptions to your role: B767 with it's great 2-3-2
Two other less common exceptions are A350 with 3-4-3 and A330 with 3-3-3. Wouldn't want to try any of them.

Exorbitant rates and less operating frequency ,flight and service is great but schedule and connections are a night mare with transit time going over 12 hours for a flight from europe to kerala

Again, another great review and with good and honest opinions. I agree with you about Oman Air, I have flown them a couple of times and each time it was inconsistent with some new and great planes while other flights were not as new nor nice. The Boeing 737 were old, tight and very uncomfortable while the A330s were better. As you said, the amenities, the catering, and the PTV were better than some and worse than others. After flying with them, I was trying to figure out who are what they are - are they trying to be a solid 3-4 star airline? What do you think?

As South East Asian, I try avoid Oman as much as possible while travel to Europe. Due to Oman currency are world 3rd highest, one sandwich meal inside Muscat Airport are most expensive I ever had.

@@LimChingLiang if it was a 14 hours layover in transit then you were entitled for a Hotel Accommodation plus applicable Meals for the period in transit provided your flight throughout was with OA , this is according to IATA Rules which OA is a member. Any transit time over 6 hours a passenger would be provided with such accommodation unless the Fare Basis Conditions stipulated otherwise . It is unclear in your particular case.
Please note that RO 1 = USD 2.589 = GBP 2.15 = RM10.8 = SGD 3.61= THB 80.24 = INR 185.56 = AUD 3.84 = CNY 18.31

Oman air does have Omani some cabin crew, and it's intentional as Oman Air is a tourist-orientated airline. Their crew is mainly foreign, but supervisors, managers and the business class crew is typically all Omani

My experience with Oman Air was very bad. This July coming back from Athens the company sent me a message saying my trip to Muscat was canceled, they rebooked my flight for the next day. I asked if the company will pay me one day of hotel plus food and they told me NO. The only thing they will not charge me the change of the day! Is it not funny? I couldn’t believe it! So I have to stay one day more on my expenses. Once in the plane , was a night flight of almost 6 hours, I asked for a pillow, they told me : NO pillows on this flight . NO blankets! What is this?
If you departed from Athens you have the right to get a compensation of up to 600€ by EU law. Check out platforms like flightright or compensair and find out more about it.

I've had awesome experience before though it was watered down by them changing my seat numbers for my 2 flights and honestly that pissed me off greatly. I was discriminated against. I strongly detest
Well, they used to do that and it seems like it is just normal to them. Especially when you are flying economy class. They usually look down on non white non omanis. I have the same experience too.. aint gonna ride oman air no more.
I think for the price they are very underrated I managed to save £1000 difference between flying Oman air and Emirates to Koh Samui Thailand from Manchester UK to Muscat and Then to Bangok and the final leg with Bangkok airways for May next year.Emirates are a huge rip of in Comparrison I mean a £1000 cheaper for Oman air it's a no brained!!!

my experience going muscat to moscow was not a good experience. the flight was ok but the food was not good. the comfort for a standard econonmy class was not up to mark. on the return from moscow to muscat when we asked for blankets the staff replied they did not have blankets . on my what a shame even basic blankets are not provided and again the food was not good. I hope attention is given to these matters. tq.

1. Bring your own sweater. They prioritize more on giving to the children n babies.
2. If u don’t like the food, grab or takeaway something from the airport. Or just ask the flight attendant for a complaint form on board.

I was flew Oman air last week..i really feel uncomfirtable with its economy class. The seats are very narrow and very hard. Legroom also very small. The foods they provides actually its not enough for me... i asked them to a wiskey.they gave.but they said they dont have nuts...fukc

Dont generalize your experience from one flight ....... I sometime use Omanair and they are goid staff ...there days I arrived Muscat airport and it was beatiful one and the toilets were clean ..... please be honest and do not lie .....be realistic

Oman air is horrible. I was travelling to Munich from Muscat in WY0123 on 24th October 2019, the treatment from one of a crew member was horrible. There was a tall gentle man was serving our section, he was continuously ill treating me and my neighbor because we are brown skinned people. Actually he treated the Europeans very well. Initially I asked sugar free cola and I was not given But I did not make any fuzz, thought he did not hear me properly. But the neighbor was asking for chicken meal , the crew member said that it was finished. Then he literally threw the vegetarian snacks even not asking our options after some time. We were not given any single serviettes. Then when we were returning the plates and garbage, he only thanked white people and did not bother about us.In my case, I was worried and my whole trip mood was spoiled and was asking questions that I am also a customer as others and deserved to be respected #boycott#racist#omanair#2019. I read similar incidents in quora and websites also. But I traveled to Finland in Qatar airways last year, it was superb. Oman air should learn from others or else should stop.

The AIRLINE SERVICE is GOOD....but the Ground staff (ones they have out-sourced out) in overseas airports are ATROCIOUS... specially the ONES at Kochi, Kerala, India.... THEY ARE WORSE THAN PRIVATE BUS CONDUCTORS......PERIOD. Further...if you are on a connecting flight, from Muscat....WATCH OUT... because you might have several hours wait at the airport. The Omani People, are very courteous & decent, folks..unlike kuwaitis & saudis.....

OMAN AIR is a nice airline but dont take them 787 Dreamliner in economy, its horrible sorry, no legroom at all, feels like easyjet is better....
