I got snowed in, but gotta get a test. My old ones came out negative too, I'm a few days late, a little brown several days back and now nada, and this never happened b4, and POSITIVE OPK, so I'm getting excited here!
It’s 19dpo for me on iui #6, and I’ve never been this late. Usually get af at 12dpo on the button. Ran out again of tests but my opks have been positive for well over a week after well confirmed ovulation so I’m insanely confused so I did this with like 8 tests. Some turned positive, some did not.. although, I haven’t gotten any real positive Hpt so it isn’t reliable. I’ll let u know if that changes, and it does have me a little excited, I was 9dpiui with my twins 11dpiui with dd and my 2 boys I wasn’t trying but know it was at least when af didn’t show but hpts weren’t that sensitive. Been trying hard so I hope the ones turning positive end up to b true but I’m just stumped. Gonna have to c the doc for bloods but canceled my beta when at 14 days past I had big time af pains and other af sxs, and bfn, but have read stories of late positives so we shall see. I need to get more FRER!!

I always thought the dye got pushed through the first time so there wouldn't be more dye to stick to the line. Interesting though!

My friend and I did this as a fun/weird experiment last year when I was pregnant with my now 8 month old and it changed from negative to positive. I am now 6 months pregnant and did the same thing and again it changed from negative to positive.
So I’m 4 days late I was 3 days late last night when I tested and I couldn’t see anything it looked like something was there but not much I took it out it was still soaked with urine (sorry I know TMI) and there was a faint blue line there so I wondered if I re used it with my “first morning pee” if it would make it darker … I re used it at 3am this morning (4 days late still no sign of period ) and the faint thin blue line that was there when I took it out the cabinet (had just used it a few hours prior and was still soaked like I said ) got darker and thicker ! I feel pregnant I just know I am …. Or maybe it’s just me hoping for a rainbow baby so badly idk 🤷♀️ but I’m 4 days late having all signs of early pregnancy but as of last night at 3 days late it looked to be negativeish but when peed on again at 3am and 4 days late with no sign of period it got a little darker and thicker (it was a clear blue test ) do you think I should re test in a week ? I mean I’m having head aches back aches acne nausea with almost everything I eat unless it’s pickles or something light or salty, sore and itchy breasts, sweating at night when it’s cool in my home (kinda like hot flashes which I never have with period) I’m eating more bc I feel more hungry (usually only eat once a day with small snacks in between that’s just how my appetite normally is ) sleeping more , urinating more, literally feel bloated like pregnancy bloated ( you know how you can just feel it in your stomach) etc what do you think ? It seems to have worked for you when you tried it … it kinda worked on her dollar store test (the rectangle one that said T and C for test and control ) even tho she feels or felt it was an evap line… and thinks the answer is probably no you can’t re use ? What do you think 💭 about my situation

Yeah, you usually definitely can. Just no more than once or twice and you need to make sure not to over-sample each time. They don't feel comfortable telling you all of this because it won't work perfectly each time and because they do not want to be held liable if you do get an inaccurate test result.
Probably because the dye already went all they way across for the negative. So there's no dye left for the first line for the second time.

🤔 I've done this twice with 2 different pregnancies and BOTH times they changed from negative to positive.

The sad thing is a chemist told me they could make them reusable but then they would be even more expensive because if it's reusable they wouldn't make any money and could end up with lawsuits etc for false negatives 🥴
I feel like they should do blood ones like a meter similar to a blood sugar meter. Just for pregnancy instead.

@@ryleaklein3606 it's all about volume though, in a small drop of blood the volume of pregnancy hormone might not be detectable like it is in a larger volume of liquid like urine
@@ryleaklein3606 I did a search and disposable blood tests exist, but not a device which would be beneficial for people that can't go on birth control to manage unwanted pregnancy. Especially if it could test for other hormone levels like ovulation tests

No, I can honestly say I never looked at an old negative text and thought "can I use this again?"...I never had a bunch of negatives in a drawer, because they were dumped in the garbage as soon as we found out we were not pregnant.

I did the same thing. I was curious. Im 36 and have 3 kids. After my last i had a tubal ligation because the drs recommended i should. I got a faint positive yesterday with a mid day test not first morning which is shocking but i was late on my period. So when i woke up this morning i said maybe ill try again before i go get more tests and it turned my positive into a negative..lol

Maybe an early MC? HCG levels could have gone up but then declined when the pregnancy turned out not to be viable, before you took the test or had what would have looked like your period. Just thinking, if you’ve never been late before.

I recently got very faint positives, possible evap.
I took 2 tests(equate .88) that I had used weeks prior that were negative didn’t have an evap as far as I could see. 1 test with water stayed stark white, one with my pee contained an “evap” or line. And 1 I saved from my miscarriage(I saved a lot) that was positive, I added water to and it’s still positive.
I had a faint line pop up and it think I’m newly pregnant again soooooo I did three of the old ones same kid the new equate kind with the well and new dropper design one of them changed slightly I’m buying different tests from Amazon tonight!!!

If there's no dye left, you have to open it up & put the urine on the other side where the dye has already ran all the way through. If there's a little bit of remaining dye remaining because you didn't use enough urine on the initial test, then it could work possibly..
I used and the test again within 30 minutes and it was positive. The first time the second line was faint

I use to have watery mucus every cycle but this time around I only experienced sticky discharge. It lasted for 3 days. I thought that was leading up to ovulation. Cause this always happens then a watery slippery discharge. It was always a lot but recently it wasn't as much and now it isnt happening. What could that mean? I'm only 30 years old. I don't know what is going on. Sorry tmi I am just worried. Do u think I should call my doctor?

That’s weird to me. The first two tests I took (first response) came up negative but I kept them anyway. When I was cleaning out my drawers for the upcoming summer they were both positive. Or rather looked positive. Maybe the ink from the test bled afterwards. Since I knew for a fact that I wasn’t pregnant. Hmph. Weird.
That can happen - its called an evaporation line. This is why pregnancy tests have a time limit that you can see a result. Most test say not to check a test after 10 minutes. :)

A lot of urine (any liquid) can make it disappear or could been a evap line

usually around 4 weeks - but you have only been pregnant about 2 of those weeks as the weeks of pregnancy start at the first day of your LAST period.

Marissa Fahez not correct. you are actually supposed to hold then in urine for 20 seconds. if you are peeing directly on the stick then you hold the stick in the urine stream for only 5 seconds. I just took 8 different tests, all positive, but needed to be sure lol.

It is not recommended to re use a pregnancy test - as the results show in this video the answer the test gives is not correct. I was pregnant but the tests showed a negative result

You can't reuse a test since the chemical in the test that's looking for the hormones in the urine breaks down and is no longer there for a 2nd try on a used test. Urine breaks the chemical down to being inert and thus all you have left is a plastic handle with urine-soaked fibers and nothing more. The manufactures design it that way specifically so you have to buy more and more. Someone that designs a test for reuse would make a lot of money! I have seen women walk into stores and buy 20-30 tests a time (at the dollar store) when they are trying to get pregnant. If someone came out with a reusable which would alleviate that expense and hassle then Women everywhere would give a sigh of relief I'm certain!
And WAY better for the environment!
They’re reusable but they claim they aren’t. It would cost more for them to change the molecular agent to make it NOT reusable
