Pregnancy Test Experiment | Reusing A Negative Pregnancy Test! Is It Possible??

Hello beauties! Today I wanted to conduct a pregnancy test experiment to see if it’s at all possible to reuse an old pregnancy test. This is just a fun little trial to conduct while I wait to see if I’m actually pregnant. Keep your fingers crossed for me. 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊

I just don’t use clear blue until I’m late, I’ve had so many faint lines when that were false.

Were you pregnant?? I keep getting faint lines as well and it’s driving me insane. Doctors office took one and they said no on the urine test. I’m still waiting on the blood test. I’ve gotten so many faint lines and from what I’ve heard they don’t consider a faint line as positive.

Pregnancy tests basically work based on HCG hormone antibodies. So if there is hcg hormone in the urine, the antibodies will detect it, and then it will show the colored line. So , I think it is possible to reuse it because if the first time there was no hcg , then the antibodies are not attached to anything and still can detect the hcg second time if there is any . But, I would not recommend really relying on that reused test if it comes positive second time, then definitely try with a new one to make sure.

I have reused some pregnancy tests in the past and they all came negative. This month I have reused a test again and it was positive. Should I test with a new hpt? I don't want to have false hopes :(

The off brand dollar store one has always been accurate for me in early pregnancies

Agreed. I heard once & it proves to be so far so true to never use a blue ink hpt they bleed too easy & lines appear that are too easy to misread & its ❤ breaking whn all you want in the 🌎 is to see + sign. DG $1 tests proved right w/ all 3 of my pregnancies.

I came looking because I think we have the same cycle and Ive been using opk test to check if anything changes and today with fmu my opk line appeared right away not too dark but appears as soon as stream goes accross also tried experimenting the reused hcg tests for experiment and only one had a line Im about to run and get a test to the store as soon as I drop my kids keep us updated you should try opk with fmu again(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)

I am 2months and 2weeks late period I've used more than 8 cheap tests they came up positive but clear blue says not pregnant and ultrasound shows no baby I am confused
