I think, I relate to both. But if I have to choose it will be 5w4. But it's a tough call. I am more withdrawn, less social. But it's a tough call. I could be slap bang in the middle.
Some people in the enneagram community are of the belief that the concept of wings is overstressed or that greater balance between the wings is to be typically expected. But I’m so introverted or withdrawn so as to be practically nonfunctional lol (not something I regret, just a fact) so I’m comfortable just saying ‘I’m 5w4’
Ah, I'm a 5w4 (though I've learned to tap into my 6 wing a bit, especially after getting to know my type 6 friend and learning from them), probably either sx/sp or sx/so stacking (ironically, I'm also asexual, so that's amusing!). I'm a 584 tritype and an INTJ, as well.
I consider myself a 5w6 with a 5w6-9w8-4w5 tritype. That being said, my wings are actually kinda balanced given the 4 in my tritype. I'm also an INTP and on the autism spectrum.
You don't need to. It's great to be able to strongly identify with both wings... another way to think about it is, you have greater capacity to draw from the strengths of both wings, and to be aware of how you might be falling into some of the downsides too.
I find I lean more heavily on my 6 wing at work and when I’m recharged before attending a planned social gathering for work. However, outside of work and in regular day to day activities and life, my 4 wing shines through

You explained 5w6 very well Although in 5w4 only focused on their bad side . You didn't covered it as well as other some. Videos For example 5w4 are more likely to understand the feelings and emotions of others

I relate to aspects of both wings. Super frustrating to not be able to nail one down vs the other.
