What an amazing estate sale. And the prices! Thanks for sharing. On another note, I have to tell you that I took another selling idea from you and it paid off. I saw where you sold a lot of random brass candlesticks. Soooo, I started picking them up when I could get them cheap. Sold a lot of 13 two days after listing for $100.00. I had no more than $20.00 invested. Thanks for the tip. Love your videos.

Hi Amy! WOWZA!!!! What a time you had at that Sale. I totally understand. I have just started to visit Estate Sales in RI. The items can be incredibly affordable and so amazing. AND...It can give us peace because these things will not be placed in a dumpster to go to a landfill. I've seen this happen and it's heartbreaking. The owner would want these pieces to be loved and enjoyed ❤ You are the best!

My sister in law was homebound, QVC & Jewelry TV were her best friends. So many things never opened, many duplicates. A very sad existence. Wouldn’t let anyone, even family into the house, and so when she died we found a hoard nightmare.
So sad to think about.
Since sharing this haul, it’s sounding like it’s somewhat common. A few of my friends and acquaintances had similar stories about friends or family members. 😓

What an amazing estate sale! Can you do a video on how you test the jewelry? Do you do a test on the stones or just the gold and silver? I normally avoid the jewelry because I don't know enough about it but at $3 a piece even I would have picked up some 😊.

Amazing pieces, Amy! Congrats on finding so many NWT and lightly used things at this sale, and all that jewelry! Love the SS jingle anklet, the earrings you showed right before the anklet, the dangly Mexican earrings . The fringe bags remind me of Jr High and HS in the 70s. The green stone on the chain earrings look like variscite. Question - What do you do to verify jade in jewelry? TU
Thank you so much, so many amazing pieces! Unfortunately it is hard to certify Jade. For the ring I mentioned in this video, I found the original listing for it online and it stated it was Jade. That’s the only way I knew for sure. Otherwise, you have to send it in to GIA for them to tell you what type and if it is natural or treated.

I’m just finding this one Amy. Great finds. I couldn’t help but feel sad for that woman’s existence. She was very large probably not leaving her home and just shopping. I feel she didn’t have family otherwise why would they allow things to be basically given away? A life of over indulgence to have it all just be piled on tables to be sold for next to nothing.
I felt a little sad for this person too… But maybe she grew up poor and was thrilled to be able to buy all these beautiful things. I know that’s how my mom was. She took great pride in being able to purchase nice things.
I have talked with the estate sale company about why people hire them. Many families cannot handle liquidating their loved ones things. Sometimes they live out of town, and sometimes it is just to difficult with grief. ❤️

I went to a sale similar to yours but not as “expensive” QVC taste - but QVC nonetheless. I think the women who live alone watch their favorite hosts as company. That could be anyone’s future - and if she was happy shopping so be it - it didn’t send her to the poor house and I’m sure she loved it. 🌼🌼😎😎. I’ve seen people film down on just their hands to show jewelry so that you have the table as a background. Not sure exactly how they do that
Thank you! That is how I was hoping to film the jewelry haul portion. Unfortunately when I tried it, it did not turn out well. 😓 I think maybe they have a light box they film in, or a certain ring light… I’m not sure but I’m hoping to figure it out for next time. ❤️

First I want to say thank you Amy! I was not expecting to hear my name and have a shout out, how sweet are you!😊 I think you did a great job showing the jewelry. If you want to show better closeups by doing “top down” view, I sit in front of a window like you with natural light and just my phone. Your table looks a bit reflective so maybe that was why it didn’t look great to you? Maybe lay foam board or something non reflective down. I have a canvas board (yes for painting lol) just laid down. I only use a ring light at night or if it’s just really cloudy the day I film.

I can’t even imagine how much money this lady spent on QVC / HSN! What I got barely scratched the surface of the what was there, it was insane. This estate sale company really focuses on clearing the houses out for people, so they price items to sell. It’s great for me and others, although it makes it very competitive. Unfortunately I don’t know for sure. The estate company doesn’t share much personal info about the clients.
She obviously was very large and didn’t seem to leave her home much. So would say yes. Also seems like no family? Otherwise why would family allow stuff to basically be given away. Sad existence

Hi! It seems like that brand is more of a mature brand, so maybe that’s why you hadn’t heard of it. 😊 They sell it at Macys and on some of the home shopping networks.
