The echo in that gym makes those hits sound so much more impactful. The whip followed by that slap. Loud ASMR.
This is a fabulous racket, solid head, surprisingly fast through the air and very precise with great control of the shuttle.
Good video but perhaps it is better to film from a wider angle to see the shuttle's movement from one court to another.. the viewers can then see the speed, flow and sharpness of the shuttle once hit. Just a suggestion :)
How would you compare this to a 3U Z Force 2? Looking to upgrade to either this or the 99. Great video!
Better!
From your comparison against 88s, it seems to me it is probably feel closest to 88d?How about 100ZZ compared to 88D?
Which one is more powerful, and which one is quicker?
same thoughts here
I have recently bought the Astrox 88D 3u version just about a month ago as i have been using a friend's Nanoray 600 for a while now since my Voltric 80 broke down. Being a 3u, its so heavy for men's doubles. Can be used still but i have struggled a bit (my weight lifting at the gym didn't help at all lol). It is so superb for mixed doubles and of course singles. Having used the Nanoray which is a light head racket for a while, you can really appreciate the added power the 88d gives. I was about to buy the 4u version of 88D but decided to wait for this 100ZZ. I think the ZZ will be so much better since it has a super slim shaft (better aerodynamics) increasing overall racket agility for drives and defence. Lifting the racket up to prepare for the next shot will be so much easier. Add a very powerful smash on top of that, it's a complete package. Yonex also mentioned an increase of the sweet spot for this racket, did you guys feel that somehow while testing the racket? Not that it would make any big difference anyway but for someone who always look at my racket strings after I hit the bird so bad (yes blaming the racket), I am happy with that increased sweet spot as well. =)
From the specification and where the ZZ is on the chart its like the ZF2 but less drag compared to the ZF2
@Tucson Jim have you tried the 88d? I found that powerful but so heavy for doubles. I pre ordered the 100zz 4u instead of getting the 88d 4u. I hope i made the right choice.😄 88d is so good on smash and defence, but not on fast rallies.
@Tucson Jim wow thanks so much for that beautiful explanation. I can say i love smashes as well which with nanoflare i have to really put a lot of effort for a power smash. So i was looking for something in between. With head heavy rackets its always easier to defend. but i need a spare racket for doubles anyway as strings are quite easy to break these days so i might also get the 99 4u as u said its also nice.😀😂
Gread racket n i bought this n trying to used it so amazing fell ..thanks for review
Great review, keep up the good work 👍
Since you like the Arc11, do you feel that the 100zz 4u would be closer to the Arc11?
I think the Astrox 100ZX is closest to the ARC 11.
Another great review!
Worth it
it is very expensive but i really want it,😢😢😞 its hard to buy advance rackets
You don’t need it trust me. More expensive doesn’t mean it is better. Work hard on your fundamentals and footwork. No shortcut to success
I really want to have this racket !!!! I love astrox so much ! but it is so expensive :( and here in japan they did not sell the zx one.... only zz
I think the ZX is not available in asia! i havent seen it in Sunrise's website in any asian country.
Thats because the zx is not made in japan
@@markablanzar9825 bruv its made in taiwan... which is also in asia
I got it today... it’s incredible
Hey Ian, i saw the dunlop nanoblade savage woven pro behind you, how does the racket play?
Thank you for the review🙏. Any difference between zz and zx?
The zx is less stiff than the zz. Therefor easier to play with. Also the zz is a bit more expensive.
What's better betwen Yonex Astrox 88D, Yonex Astrox 99, or Yonex 100ZZ for smash?
What's you're string used on Yonex Astrox 100ZZ and how much Tension you're used?
Thankyou..
Nice review 🤤🤤 btw what model of asics shoe you use in this video? Just curious
They are Asics Sky Elite FF, very nice.
ClubRackets.com nice and beautiful indeed, i think better than court control ff
On power, Which one is powerful based on the 3U, Astrox 99 or Astrox 100zz
The 99 but the astrox isnt weak by any means
WEW Man ! you smash so hard... nice video
Nice review 👌
I think yonex Astrox smash is the best astrox
One question, what type of strings do you recommend for the astrox 100 zz?
BG80 seems to be a popular choice with our customers but personally I would go with Aerobite or Exbolt 63.
Always a matter of personal preference. I'm personally curious to try Exbolt 63 but the stringers we normally use don't seem to carry it even though it has been on the market for a year now. If you're interested I think Viktor Axelsen used Aerobite initially when he started using this racket but switched to BG80 after a while. So I believe he won All England 2020 using Aerobite and the 2022 edition using BG80. My oldest son just bought this racket and had it strung with Aerobite. Seems like a great combo but we'll see about durability since that should supposedly not be as good as BG80 or Exbolt 63 from what I've read.
@@ThorRavnsborg I use exbolt and its been great, also bg66 ultimax which is very good aswell
How much will be in USA
And where I can buy it ?
Find your local stockist on www.yonexusa.com/ and they should be able to give you details.
How does it compare to 88s and 99 in singels play. Control and attack?
Do you think its worth the upgrade from astrox99?
What is your best selling racket?
I’m still in the hunt for my Z-Slash replacement and had owned a Duora Z-Strike but didn’t like it. What are your thoughts if this is a good replacement? Many thanks
z speed? i think z-speed kinda replaced z-slash in some sense.
Yonex astrox 99 Pro would be better for you
Thnx 👍
I will take this rackrt
What string???
What tension???
Umm can the duora 10 lee chong wei edition still be found nowdays?
Depends which one. I can't get the blue ones, only the latest purple/brown one.
@@ClubRackets oh nice its just that im trying to save up for one
What would the price be if u were to put it in the shop again?
How does this compare to the zx
Yonex astrox 100 zx😊
What string do you use and its tension?
Only drawback of this racket is the design. I might buy Voltric Lin Dan Force instead of this because of the cosmetic. Unfortunately.
The Voltric Lin Dan Force is a lovely looking thing. I do like the colours of the Astrox 100 though. Lovely details, half matt, half gloss and a great purple colour.
@@ClubRackets Thank you for the reply. Which design and colour you like the best between Astrox100ZZ, Voltric Lin Dan Force, or Astrox 99?
@@trooper5152 the LD force is def one beautiful beast. But i'd wager this 100 would look just as good with an orange string
Do you ship to USA?
Prefer to single attacking player..
how does it compare to the 4u 88d? :)
Hi, is the shaft as stiff as the Duora Z-Strike? Also is it much more head heavy than Z-Strike or just a little? Thank you!
The shaft is as stiff but it bends differently, in different places. You can feel the shaft working in the 100ZZ but it's still extra stiff. I think it is a little more head heavy but since we have a 4U it doesn't feel it.
@@ClubRackets the balance of the Racket doesn't feel too head heavy due to the amount of grips you applied
Would tension be too low and affect the performance of the ax100zz if it was strung at 23lbs?
I think that would be ok probably. The racket is really stiff so can use less tight strings if you like. I haven't tried it below 25 though.
ClubRackets.com thanks for the reply!
for doubles what would suit better ? the 100zz in a 4u version or a duora z strike ?
100ZZ in a 4U. It would be quicker and is great at the fast flat shots.
@@ClubRackets I’ve tried out both of them and they feel really really similar actually, I currently use the victor thruster F and even that one kinda feels similar to it, what do you guys think that are the major differences bettween the z strike and the zz ?
Which is much better between astrox 100zz and astrox 88d especially in terms of offensive plays, field consistency, and control?
Control probably the 100ZZ but both very nice rackets for the offensive player.
@@ClubRackets Ok. Thank you for your reply and give objective information about those rackets.
In my astrox 100 zz racket they have mentioned the tension as 28-35 lbs. Is it original?
Probably not. I think it says up to 28 on the 4U and 29 on the 3U.
@@ClubRackets tnx for the reply ❤️
To all badminton enthusiasts: newer doesn’t mean it is better in badminton racket. Trust me. You are many times more likely to win games with good fundamental, footwork, basics and skills than good racket
True
How to purchase this racket please tell me
Either go to your local Yonex dealer store or www.clubrackets.com
頑張ってください!
What string is dat?
BG65ti
@@ClubRackets yo what's a good string for astrox 100 zz 4u li ning no.1 boost or 66 um?
btw which racket you use ? your fav one ?
I usually use a Yonex Arc Saber 11 or Victor Thruster F Claw A. Will be giving the 100ZZ a good go though.
@@ClubRackets cool
ClubRackets.com so would you say, that you can generate more power with a 4u 100zz than with at 3u arc11?
How about the ZF2?
The 100ZZ is much quicker and more satisfying to play with than a VTZFII I think.
For double or single???
Both, victor axselsen use it for single and hiroyuki endo use it for double too
Whats the price

♥️
How does it compare to 88s and 99 in terms of shuttle hold. Wich would you recomend for control play/precise or accurate play?
If you like front court play I would stick with an 88S, I think the 100ZZ does a great job for the all round attacking player.
What string do you realy prefer
BG65ti is my favourite
@@ClubRackets is it bg65T or bg 65 and what lbs is it
Astrox 88D or Astrox 100ZZ ?
That is a hard question. Best to test them both yourself if you get chance. I think I like the balance of the 100 a little better. It seems to generate power more with the snap back of the shaft than the head weight. I will try them both side by side though to make sure.
@@ClubRackets interesting thoughts there. ive been comparing a 5ug5 victor thruster k falcon (non claw) vs my 4u 88d and the lighter 5u seems to be easier to use for me although its not as punchy as the 88d but it seems to force you to use better technique instead of relying on being head heavy. i would expect the 4u 100zz to be about the same. dont you think?
@@kyle618 yes I think so. While the 100Zz is very usable, I think players who are good with their technical skills will love it.
i could barely buy yonex astroxx 7
Is it a more of attacking racket or more of a all round racket
Attack!
basically most of the astrox variants are attack.
"steep attack" or at least they promo it.
If only it didn't look like it was designed by a child
間違いなく水の呼吸意識してるデザイン…
yonexx!! why are u so expensive!!
Because of the QC (Quality control)
One question, what string tension do you recommend for the astrox 100 zz?
Depends on the player. The racket is quite stiff so you can maybe go with a little less tension and still get decent control if you want more repulsion, a bigger sweet spot and more durability. If you're a fairly accomplished player I would say that 26lbs is a good reference point. Go a little lower for more of things mentioned above and higher if you want the ultimate feel and control.
