The Astrox 100zz had been my primary racket for years. However, when I first tried the Nanoflare 1000z, I instantly knew it would become my new go-to racket.
Would like to check if you had a chance to use both the 3U and 4U versions? Which would you recommend? and which U did you used for the 1 month of playing with?
I have slight shoulder pain and get fatigued in the right arm. Will this be suitable or should I get 100zz. I'm refraining from 100zz as it is head heavy while this one is head light. Excellent review btw.
I have both 1000Z 4U and 100ZZ 4U from the start of introduction of booth rackets. When comparing two racket balance, I think that there is no point to measure balance without strings and with original grip because you measure it stringed and with exact grip how you will play. 1000Z is more in slightly head heavy direction, because balance is about 309mm on 1000Z 4U. 100ZZ 4U is about 319mm (booth with strings nbg 98, just overgrip on G5 size on booth). I am aware that many like badminton guide etc. measure this without strings, but what data do you get than, nonrealistic one for the real life scenario. 100ZZ is better racket for doubles because it is more maneuverable/faster feeling and it feels like it has lighter head than 1000Z, despite being more head heavy for about 10mm (probably due to shape). There is more feeling with 100ZZ to place shuttlecock where you want, but both are very precise, it is like 100ZZ has larger sweet spot (it has larger head) for precise shoots and it is more forgiving if you do not have very very good technique. But, on the other side, there is more power with 1000Z if you hit it right, and even if you don't hit it with the sweet spot or is from weird positions, or backhand, shoots will be longer/faster than on 100ZZ, it is just in another league. Not so far away from ZF2 that was smashing monster for every type of player (amateur or pro). If you use it in the same hour of play/training, by changing one to another, there is big difference in timing so you will have feeling that one of them is better than another, so it take time to adopt smash timing. So depend what you prefer and if you play pairs or singles or booth, booth rackets are great and different, but more similar from 100ZZ to 1000Z than to 95% of other brands rackets.

I do measure all my rackets with the strings and with the grip that i play with. However, i also find it problematic because it is prone to human error. I am pretty sure some of my strings are longer or shorter. and some of my grips are likely thinner and thicker.
If you are using 29 lbs and you're an average player (like myself): Astrox100zz: Solid solid solid hitting with negligible vibrations. Like driving a VW Golf GTI. Head heavy construct gives you far superior control on slice shots, drops, and smashes. But I wasn't able to generate as much smashing power compared to Nanoflare 1000Z. Poor technique on my part? Nanoflare 1000z: No longer solid hitting. Vibrations can be felt like the ArcSaber 11 pro. Small head design condenses all the power, unleashing powerful smashes (if you hit the tiny sweet spot which is hard). Much harder to control net shots and slices. Much harder to execute back hand smashes. BTW, I can do back hand from end to end but I can't do backhand smash with it.
If you can backhand clear from base to base, your technique should be decent. perhaps what you need is some time to get used to the racket swing. the NF1000 is really a lot faster than the astrox 100. i needed time to get used to the swing too.

I'm a beginner and I train 4x a week. I've never had a Nanoflare so I won't know the feeling and handling (I played with Arc 11 pro and 7 pro and now Astrox 70) But I'd really like this 1000z to be in my arsenal however, I feel it's not suitable for female players as we have less arm strength.
It would not be unusual because of its headlight characteristics. Having said that, professionals are using it. They tie at high tension and hit with great power. The racket is designed to withstand pressure as long it is from the correct "direction". No racket is designed to take a hit on the floor or from another racket.

Leagues above the next best racket sounds like a stretch. It's not like there are any breakthrough technological advancements in racket design recently.

@@MoreThanASwing it's not headlight but it is a very light racket overall that delivers great power. Try Gosen Cocytus Slash. I personally like a little weight in my racquet head for feel alone.
I talked to my local pro shop guy and asked him if he knew which weight of Nanoflare 1000z was used during the world record smash and he said it was done using the heavier 3U version. I wasn’t surprised to hear this as the extra weight is known to help with extra power. He wasn’t sure about the grip size but that’s subjective. I picked up 2 in 3UG4. I had heard the shaft was longer and head smaller than conventional rackets and to my surprise it was relatively the same shaft length and head size as my Voltric Z Force 2 rackets. So far they play very well and a little whippier than the Z force as they should be.

I liked that it is head heavy and super stiff, but recently I felt like trying something faster and got the 1000Z and now it is my main racket. I bought two 4U ones and oh my is it a clear upgrade from the ZF2 by a mile! It is a lot faster and I can feel the repulsion of the shuttle literally shooting off the racket head, I am certainly smashing harder and my backhand clear -- even from a disadvantageous position -- is going to the opponent's baseline. The only thing is that I need to be accurate because mishits with this racket is really unforgiving, but I am getting used to it over time. I noticed the same thing as you too, I was expecting a longer shaft but it is identical to the ZF2, even the racket head size is the same (I knew ZF2 had a smaller racket head, but didn't expect the 1000Z to also have a compact head and the same size too!). In any case, really happy with the 1000Z. How is your 3U version? Have you tried the 4U one, and if you did how does it compare?
Hello coach i want to ask , it is NF 1000z feels vibrate while contact to shuttle? I once try my friend astrox 100zz and its feel much vibrate , does it feel the same?
the NF 1000z and the Astrox 100ZZ feels VERY different. I would say the vibration on the Astrox feels much much stronger. The vibration on the NF1000Z is much quicker/shorter.
@@Raven-qg5vl yes it is easier to maneuver . It is marketed as extra stiff like the 100zz but it doesn’t feel as stiff as 100zz . High repulsion , light head weight might need some time to adjust to the racket . But once you master it , you will like it

The Tour feels almost the same, but if you've been playing badminton for a long time, you'll feel the difference. Get the Z version. It's worth the extra bucks

Also, for the 1000Z, the shaft is so stiff, prolly the stiffest yonex shaft, my hand is starting to hurt....
interestingly, it is really not the stiffest shaft. by measurements, these rackets are stiffer....

I have tried both at 4U . I would say Arc11 pro is for technical players, 1000Z is for speed demons.

might actually be the complete opposite - it's head light by design so it'll be easier to use with less strength

It compact head is good ?
Its a double edged. The sweet spot is smaller, so it makes it more difficult to play with. But the response, power and control seems better.
Compact head is not for a beginner. You have to be very consistent hitting to the sweetspot to use compact frame
