Mizuki brutally take down a bunch of bodyguards with a fucking lead pipe is straight out of a Yakuza game. I fucking love it.
I like how that Evolver gun was used in the most clever ways, rather than just blasting away at enemies, Date and Aiba used their surroundings to their advantage

These god damn qte scenes are so ridiculous that they break any tension the game had... but its still fun

Yea they do take you out of the moment a bit :D Honesetly this game is so weird with its jokes and their timing but it genuinely works most of the time, you are invested, emotional and pissed when you need to and than its shattered with Aiba and Date being Aiba and Date.

Yeah I normally would dislike these sort of stupidity in shows and other games but somehow I bloody enjoyed every moment of it in this game XD It just fits so well, the game knows how to balance the serious moments with the funny ones.

Does anyone else wish there was some sort of QTE for the end of the Resolution Route? I was kind of disappointed that all there really was was just a reunion of the main characters, and Aiba's sacrifice of course. It might have even worked as an end-game QTE considering that you don't have Aiba at this point, but you've had her help for every other QTE in the past. Maybe the time limit would be less, or there wouldn't be as much of a build up to make the QTEs more difficult? There's even a fight sequence, but you just watch it! Just a thought!

I played through AINI as well, but on console, so I button mashed instead. I'm a decent button masher, so I didn't struggle too much with it, but I can imagine that it is far more difficult on PC... 😅

In case anyone was wondering, the theme name tetekai (ai being pronounced the way it is) roughly sounds like “tatakai”, which is the Japanese word for “fight.” Makes sense considering when it plays :D

This really makes me wonder if Date was like this when he was still dating Hitomi
If memory serves, this was actually a side effect of his mind being put in the chemically unbalanced psychopath brain. They had to give him drugs adminstered by AIBA to unfuck his hormones and it would go haywire.
When Date gets his old body back, he's nowhere near as horny. I think it's safe to say, with Aiba's statements of overdose as some evidence, that the medication used to regulate his oxytocin levels made him significantly more sexual.

People in the comments are right but Date was still weird old date we know and love in the Falco body, just not as weird as his constantly dopamine high body.
I mean, even in the true ending when he's back in his original body, when you go back to the Sagan residence, you get mentions of how he used to _always_ make the joke about the audio system looking like a dick, and how he was caught sniffing the shoe locker six years prior. So, uh... :P

this theme woulda been a ton more effective if the action scenes are actually paced out like yknow... action scenes instead of QTE sequences that get constantly interrupted by minute-long dialogues, but i guess that just adds the comedic ridiculousness that's needed to counteract the serious despair for other scenes... while sacrificing the thrill and adrenaline of the scene. bit of a shame ngl
