I definitely felt that " I like to get places early so I can start working, I get high anxiety. " comment.. Sometimes I'll wake up at 4am in bed and start thinking about a particular job I have that day and I'll immediately start wishing I could just go and get started on it right then instead of tossing and turning for the next 3 hours thinking about scenarios.😂😂
I'm loving the old intros
The “Quality, integrity….tradition” makes my brain know I’m about to see legit content
@@Jbs6187 Confirmation bias, right?
I think so
I know you're probably won't see this with the tens of thousands of comments you get but watching your videos is the reason why I'm going to HVAC school in December
Wow that is awesome I’m glad to have had a small part in your hvac schooling
@@HVACRVIDEOSI Been Interested In HVAC For 4 Years Now Im 18 years old now, graduated HS And Got In A Trade School Called Lincoln Tech Collage/Trade School Im been a huge fan to learn how to be a skilled HVAC Technician, This Is Me From Dallas, TX So Glad To Work For HVAC
Awesome man
You got this 🫡
The work you do, Chris, is surely exhausting.
Good one lol
We're exhausted just watching it
Shirley you can't be serious 😝
@@stevenwjudd " I am serious, and don't call me Shirley! "
I see what you did there, lol
Exhaust fans looks super easy to change. Never changed one out. Easy Money.
Chris, I think it’s fantastic that you care about other people’s equipment. Every industry needs more of your caliber of technicians. Sending love from Australia ❤
Nice looking Install and also Glad to see you care about Not junking up the Moving Straps with Grease for the Crane Co. I’m sure they Noticed and Appreciated it.👍
duct tape round the greasy bits would also work if you have no shackles... very considerate of you, big picture, as you say, keep other contractors happy, they will make you happy in return
Very true
I've never seen that style of tachometer before. I used to work for an air balance company during the summer, and we used a laser reflective tachs.
Edit. Now i see you used the laser half. That's a really neat tach.
I have the Extech which is the same tach and it is great because it gives you a laser on one end and a manual roller type on the other for different situations. Itworks great but you have to be careful when you use the manual roller type as it is easy to damage the rubber tip if you press too hard onto the motor shaft and you do see a variation in speed with varying pressure.
Hey Chris, I’m a crane operator and do these fans and rtus all day all. If you open the top of the fan there are 4 pick points inside the motor compartment.
keep an eye out, Greenheck upblast fans of certain sizes will have optional lifting holes cut right into the windband soon, no need to remove the hood or hook onto supports.
Enjoying the videos lately!
Thanks
I do commercial refrigeration for grocery stores and you’ve gotten me out of binds so thank you
Right on bud , glad the videos have helped you!
the opening and closing of the pulley is kinda how DAF variomatic gearing worked in europe in the 50s. clever system
It’s the first time I’ve heard you call an exhaust fan the wrong name and also another great videos love them all keep it up man
Just did my first call as a resi tech and I love it no more crawlspaces haha ! Just changed some batteries on a tstat but loved the time I was on tje ceiling checking all the shenanigans and wow it’s a wasteland of mysteries
Those are my favorite gloves, 20.00 online at HD for 20. And they come in a bag
Crazy you got a crane for that exhaust fan, company I work for makes us wrap it in a blanket and pull it up the roof alone lol
Yeah been there before but not anymore, life too short to do stupid shit like that anymore
I will discuss this tonight 6/17/24 @ 5:PM (pacific) on the HVACR Videos Q and A livestream come on over and check it out ruclips.net/user/live6ofIoaxQ9OI
Así es como debemos hacer las cosas gracias Chris por darme estás demostraciones tan excelentes también agradezco tus buenos consejos.
Saludos a todo el equipo desde Coacalco estado de México.
Gracias
I'm just happy you share as its a learning experience for me when you do share and explain things
I love learning from you brother
I am back in the industry, new job as a service manager. Was remodeling houses.
Great job Chris. Love the old intro.
Back by popular demand
I love belt driven pulley
You are right. Shooting small clips is the best thing & later join them... I am a small content creator & I know the pain when I shot a long interesting clip & the video crashes during shooting or later 😢.
Honestly a belt driven fan is going to be cheaper and more reliable in the long run. VFDs are lucky to last as long as 2 belts lol
Your right about the GoPros overheating...
Good job Chris.......
That crane is over kill

Great video. Thank you for sharing
I love your videos; just bought more tools at True Tech Tools with your offer code. Thanks for the content.
Thanks for the support and I’m glad you enjoy the videos
Getting a crane for a fan is amazing we rope them up or use a 32 ft scissor

I still cant't believe that manufacturer puts the disconnect switch down in the ares of the rotating components instead of outside the unit.
These are available with external disconnects with liquid tight running through the breather tube to an external switch.
Hey big fan of the vids! Would love to apply as a mid-level apprentice! Epa universal, hvacr certification, I live in Riverside close to your office, most tools I have!
Send me a resume bud I’d love to look at it, HVACRVIDEOS@gmail.com
I believe splicing in a LB is only allowed when its listed size is followed for max conductors.
Good stuff Chris
Thanks bud
KISS method is still the best method.
Did you know what blew the fuses in the panel and caused all sorts of problems?
Thanks for video 🙌🙌😊👌👍🍀🙏
Thanks for watching
Trim those zip ties even if they are temporary. Good job
Interesting to note that the correct rotation is actually that of a backward-bladed blower wheel rather than the forward bladed configuration that is more commonly found in HVAC. Is there are particular reason for this?
Most PRVs are backwards incline
Exelente video, siempre aprendo algo diferente
Gracias para ver el video
You must be quite The masochist if you like working on exhaust fans 😂
Shiny!
I preferred direct drive exhaust fans. Ditch the belts. Just my opinion.
I personally wouldn't like the switch directly next to moving belts or moving parts in the first place. A junction box, OK, but not a Switch.
What is your preferred tachometer if you don't care for that Reed unit?
How much of that project cost was the crane?
Probably about $1000 to $1500 a day or four hours
What is the maximum RPM and the maximum CFM fans put out
What tablet do you use for your probes?
What controller would you recommend for a 20,000sq ft freezer with 6 fans. Emerson E3?
One of your recent videos showed a portion of the A2L information stating there is no requirement for new tools. I meant to save that but cannot find it now. Where was that located?
I would love to install a fan like this in a residential setting. Has anyone done anything like this? Is there a model small enough?
Yes. I think the smallest one greenheck makes is a 10 or 12 inch wheel for the fan that you watched being installed here.
Shouldn't you match the airflow instead of the RPM? Or is the new fan identical?
Great question , yes the fan was identical so I only needed to match the rpm
0:19 its a Makeup Air Unit (MAU) not an (MUA) ....makeup is one word 😆
I honestly kind of like the newer intro better, but hey, that's just me.
That is a fart fan
The exhaust from the women's bath room.😳
ya
821 thumbs up
Hey Chris, @ HVACR not easy being being cheesy. I like your podcast/social media, looking thru some comments/chats/reply?. I guess some of your customers, family and friends still checking in on you. When you were young, did you and your friends eat pizza at Chuck E Cheese. Or did you go out hunting with a man like Dick Chenney. Do you still have a back bone made of steel. If so, the you might have some "Big Dick" Chenney qualities.lol. Love you buddy, you be safe out there, God bless you my brother in Christ.
VFDs need to be in a conditioned space.
Seriously. *This.*
No one likes working on poop or kitchen grease fans.
Always using some kind of tool no one has ever seen…. Way too confusing
